Hi! My name is janina werbinek and I am
an exchange student from germany in
stockton, ca right now. At the moment I
have a project assigned called
articulation. We are suposed to research
a topic we choose for 3 months were we
have to include a social activiy, art
projects and many more including an
interview! I chosed the topic epilepsy
since my best friend has it and I think
people with epilepsy have a lot of
problems they dont really should have to
have! My friend is teased by classmates
because of her seizures what is absolutely
impossible for me to understand. I think
that what is one of the main reasons for
it is the ignorance and not knowing of the
people! This is mainly why I choosed this
topic to tell the people in my social
project about it and make sure that they
understand that epilepsy is a condition
that everybody can get at every moment and
it is absolutely not strange! People with
epilepsy are the same people who dont have
it with the exception of the seizures
which can be conrolled in most cases! I
believe they shouldnt be treated
differently just because they have this
condition! I dont know if you understand
my point (it is really difficult for me to
explain that with the right words in a
different language
) in order to complete my project I
need to make an interview which I am
supposed to film! I thought that a person
with epilepsy can of course answer my
questions best and make us all understand
what epilepsy is and what the affects are
in lives! For this I would like to ask
for your help!! Do you live near
stockton, sacramento, san francisco etc
and you are willing to help me in this
project?? Or do you know somebody who
would like to help me make people
understand and live in my area?
Or do you believe that people do already
understand and I make a problem where no
problem is? Do you think I should
reconsider my project topic? Every advice
and interview would help me to understand
the condition epilepsy more!!!
I would be so happy if I would get an
answer and I am really looking forward to
this project! :d
have a great rest of the weekend!!
