First Time Pill User Question Posted: 10-08-07 09:40am
Sorry if this question is somewhat naieve,
I'm a first time pill user... but I'm
waiting to start my period before I start
taking my birth control pills and I'm
running a little late. I was just at the
gyno Friday for my exam and she said it
looked like I was about to start because
the cervix looked like it was ready to
bleed even before she gave me the exam. I
had some very mild spotting the morning
after but nothing besides that, I don't
know if I should continue to wait it out
or what. I would assume that I would have
gotten it by now if I was about to on
Friday but I don't know. Plus I'm not
having a whole lot of cramps or anything
so I'm not sure if I'm just skipping this
month or what. And I'm not sure if I
should go ahead and start the pill anyways
or what. Any suggestions?

If it's yaz, you're supposed to start your
birth control on the first day of regular
bleeding. Also, you should use a condom
for the first two weeks.
