Did you ever find an answer to this
question? It sounds identical to what my
husband went through, except that it has
not reoccurred, as he just had his first
bout and is still ill. What shocks me is
that they never took a stool sample and
let him out of the hospital before he had
a bowel movement, and he hadn't had one in
days. He is still experiencing pain and
can't eat without aggravating it.
