Adding a Day On to Period Posted: 10-08-07 20:05pm
I was just wondering if any one would have
an idea as to why this is happening.
Here's the story:
3 months ago I was put on Cyclessa and
I've notice that I'm tired a lot, have a
low sex drive, moody at time and I now
have my period for 6 days, when I use to
get it before for 5 days.
When I was 18 I was put on Mircette and
had no problems, my period went from 5
days to 3 days (Yay!), but then
Planparenthood stopped carrying that pill
so at 21, I was put on Desogen and got my
period for 5 days with that pill plus I
had occasional spotting 3 days before my
period was due..so they put me on Cyclessa
and thats where it ALL started.
I called them today because I was only
give 3 packs for a trial and I told the
lady on the phone about adding an extra
day and she told me "thats normal, maybe
your just getting old, well not old but
older."....what I could have killed her!
Does any one have any ideas or
suggestions?

Sounds normal. Three months is the usual
adjustment time for pills, so it's no
surprise your period has lengthened in
this time. This is now your "normal"
period will be on these pills.
