crap...
my back hurts so bad and when i lay down i
dont feel good 
and my doctor has me on these stupid iron
pills because my "iron is low" and i cant
poop and its really frusterateing!!!
my babyshower is in 4 days and i am so
exited but the ays going by so slow it
feels like it will never get here

I can't wait till my baby shower! My
friend just put the invatations in the
mail about 3-4 days ago. But mines not
till Dec. 1st. So I have quite a while to
wait.
Question....Ryan's sister-in-law wants to
throw me a shower too. But even she was
invited and is coming to the one that my
friend is throwing me. Now about 50-60
people were invited to the one my friend
is throwing for me. Who in the world could
she possibly invite to the one she wants
to throw? People don't normally attend
more than one for the same person do they?
How do I tell her that I think it's a
waste of time?

Rachel, is your family coming to the one
your friend is throwing you? I had two
showers.. My best friend threw me one
& only friends came, & then my
aunt's threw me one, & only
family/family friends came to that one!
& Suzy, I'm sorry you feel so icky! I
feel awful today, too. But I'm not
preggers, so I'm sure you're twice as
miserable, lol. Even though I have a noisy
7 month old yelping & throwing his
toys everywhere, lol!
I was anemic when I was pregnant, too. I
had to be on iron pills. They sucked &
I hated being constipated & blah blah
blah. I started taking a lot of extra
fiber. I used that tasteless powder stuff.
It works really good!

me....that's why I'm wondering who his SIL
was even thinking of inviting!

That's what I thought but I don't know how
to tell her without hurting her feelings!
She's the kinda girls who likes to throw
lil meaningless parties all the
time....she's a rich lil s*** with nothing
beter to do with her time. Although I do
think it's a nice suggestion. I think
she'll be offended if I tell her there's
no need but I also think she'll be
offended if no one comes to her's.

Maybe give her an alternative? Like,
instead of a baby shower, maybe she can
treat you & a few close friends or
family members to lunch of dinner?
Something like that?

thanks guys! krissy my doctor told me that
my iron level should be around 9...and
right now its a 7
she said if it got below a 5 i could have
to get a blood transfusion
it should be ok now though that i have to
take these ginormous horse pills!!! 
rachel im haveing my shower at a park
witha pool on saturday! we invited 80
people total but we are expecting probably
50 maybe 60
i cant wait! im so exited i want it to be
saturday! im most exited to see my mom
i havent seen her in over a month now and
i miss her so much

Have you talked to your doctor about how
the iron is making you constipated?
You can try drinking a lot of water, fiber
(but that can cause gas), prune juice
(don't go 'ick' it works and makes you WAY
less miserable) and talk to your doctor
about stool softners. I'm amazed your
doctor didn't offer something along with
the iron pills (like stool softener).

yeah i just took my first one lyestreday!
what i dont get is that the vitamins ive
been taking (flinstones) have iron added
in them
i told her this
she says i still need more because my iron
level is too low 
eeeeewww prune juice...

My doc never offered anything when she put
me on iron pills, Ingi I had to call &
tell her how miserable I was & then
she told me to try lots of extra fiber.
Ah, pregnancy. Sometimes, I think I'm
crazy for missing it!

maybe your sil could throw the "welcome
home baby" party where you dont get gifts
just have a bbq or something where ppl who
didnt come to the hospital can meet the
baby, and if they wanna bring more
presents... lol
suzy my back is killing me too but its cuz
i slpet funny last night with liam hogging

Your iron is low because your blood volume
doubles during pregnancy (your body makes
more!). You need more iron to make more
blood and sustain it. Low iron is very,
very, very common in pregnancy. The
vitamins you are taking are for everyday
people who aren't making extra blood.
If you just took your first iron pill
yesterday, I'm thinking the constipation
doesn't have anything to do with the iron.
It usually takes a build up of iron to
cause that. But constipation is also
common in pregnancy so... drink more
water. Eat more fiber rich foods. And, I
know you don't want to hear this, but that
means vegetables
Prune juice is not actually that bad.

Well it hasn't been. Take the iron
pills. Drink ORANGE JUICE when you take
them. The vitamin C in the OJ will help
with the iron absorption.
