Getting a Lil Poed
Posted: 10-10-07 15:21pm

I emailed like 10 ppl about the houses they have for rent and yet only 3 ppl have emailed me or called me. What do u ppl not check your email? Do you really not want to rent your house? I found one I really like just across the WI border (mandi u gunna come visit me??) for 1250 4 bdrm 2 bath with a HUGE finished basement and fenced in yard. The guy is in the military and only renting to military familes. but he wants 1400 for a security deposit + first months rent and I dont have 2650 to pull out of my bum when i have to get a uhaul for 324 + gas and hotel for the ride up. Hopefully hell work with me.

1250 a month. its not bad for that area. we get 1109 a month from the Navy for housing so itll cost us a little out of pocket but it wont be to bad. well worth it to have our own home!

I hope he works with you! I can't imagine paying that much for rent! Our rent around here isn't even close to that!

Wow! I never fail to be amazed at the rent in other areas of the country. My sister has a five or six (I forget which) bedroom house for 650 a month.

yikes! wish it was that cheap. alot of the homes are well over 1500 a month to live in a good area. In NC you could get a 4bdrm for 600 a month

A 4 bedroom for 650 a month rent?

We have a 3 bdrm 2 bath that we are buying and we pay 1050 monthly. The only thing I've seen that cheap in NC is an apartment.

i think i would pee my pants with excitement if we only had to pay $375 a month!

i don't really know what rent is around here, i know it's at least $1000/month for a 2 bedroom.

we own our condo and have a ridiculous mortgage.

I know when we were apartment hunting while I was pregnant still, the highest rent we found was $600 & the people wanted 1st & last month + security.
I've always wanted to live in a condo!

Our rent for our apartment is $585/mo & that's for a 1 bedroom. It's one of the cheapest places around here, too.

Can you still hear your neighbors in a condo like you can in an appartment? When we sell our hose and buid a new one (4-5 years to wait on that) We are gonna buy a nice peice of land in the country and build. Right now we live in a development and have to pay yearly HOA dues which sucks!

WTH??????? 1 million +? look at this. i hope the link works. i'm going to test it. it works, it's going to link some bad houses in there but if you sort by price (set the minimum to 50K) you can weed out the ones that are in the ghetto. you can get a normal house here pretty cheaply. The ones that are like half a mil to 3/4 of a mil are in the ritzy sections.

i think thats INSANE.

We went house hunting today just for fun, and found several 3/2/2's for around 85-95,000 with full finished basements and huge yards.

I was like, floored.

You cant even get an empty lot for that price in Orlando. The median price for a place in Central Florida is i *think* close to $289,000. Thats for a 2 bedroom, 1-2 bath, no yard, no basement.

Here, that gets u like, a 4500 sq ft house on the Hill with a pool and acreage(sp?).

We lived in a nice neighborhood and our rent was 425 a month, with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, now our 4 bedroom 2 bath is like 600 a month and our neighborhood is pretty good. =) i'm nervous to move away and see what it'll be in other places.

my cousin used to live in a town home though, and it was like 900 a month. crazy!
