All of the above. I have a bad bite and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which makes you tense up your muscles. That's very likely why you are dizzy. I do 2 things that have helped enormously, I take Cymbalta for anxiety, and I get massage therapy for the muclse spasms. I have tried EVERYTHING else under the sun and that is what helps me. If you have insurance, it will cover physical therapy which inclues massage treatment.

I have GAD and I am currently on Celexa. I don't know what comes first but I get jaw pain and anxiety. When the anxiety goes away basically the pain does too usually. I have heard the tmj issues can be a result of anxiety. I am still gong up on this med but and I hope that it goes away. Also anxiety causes clenching thus tmj pain. Flexeral has been somewhat helpful but if the anxiety is not under control then tmj pain will probably continue.
