Q: How to Work Out Date of Conception?

I thought I saw someone on here a while back explain how to work out the conception date just by using your due date from the u/s scan. Is that not possible? I just want to know if I got pregnant a few days before or a few days after my birthday. Weird thing to wonder about but I would like to know, if its possible.

It is possible - but is not an 'exact'. You can use Due Date Calculators and get a rough estimate of when you may have conceived. If you know when your period was due (if you are quite regular) it would have been about 14 days before the period you missed having because you were pregnant. Smile

Your doctor can tell you the amount of weeks you are pregnant from your ultrasound (like 6 weeks 3 days, etc) and you can work out from there by working backwards to your last period.

Thanks. So theres no way to do it without knowing my last period date, just from the due date instead?

One more time:

Your pregnancy will be DATED by the ultrasound. So it will say you are 6 weeks 3 days. Right? So, if on October 10th you are 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant, count backwards 6 weeks and 3 days and that is when your period would have happened. Add about 2 weeks and THAT is the date you would have conceived on.

OR, you could do what Emma suggested on the other board. There are 1 million pregnancy calculators out there. Type in your due date and it will come up with the date you possibly could have conceived on ~ give or take the natural order of your cycle.

Babyzone's is my fave. It has a lot more to it, then just your conception date (estimated, of course). But if you can find it, you should try it out! Very Happy Good luck.
