My bible refers to God as plural too!, and
as humans as "humankind" and such, instead
of "Mankind"
And it's a catholic bible too!

God is plural in that God is three
persons.
Father.
Son.
Holy Spirit.

But I thought Genesis was written before
Jesus was born, so was it just the holy
spirit and God kicking around then?

Before Abraham was, I am - Jesus Christ
"In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2
He was with God in the beginning. 3
Through him all things were made; without
him nothing was made that has been made. 4
In him was life, and that life was the
light of men. The Word became flesh and
made his dwelling among us."
"He is before all things, and in him all
things hold together"

So? *blinks* A bunch of Christians still
freaked out about her books and said that
the "poor child actors" would be going to
hell for "enchanting" and saying spells.
Not that those women care, but ALL of the
spells in HP are fictional.

Oops. Wow, Rodge. I really seem to be
ruining your life. First you discover that
animals can't talk, then you find out that
Santa etc. aren't real, NOW my levitation
spell has gotten you trapped on the
ceiling. I'm a bad person.

The Big Bang doesn't address how the first
stuff got there. Don't listen to fundies
who lie about big bang and evolution.
Here is an example of a lie:
Fundie: How can man evolve from apes if
apes are still here?
Rational person: Because man didn't
evolve from apes, and nobody ever said we
did.
Evolution shows man AND apes evolved from
a COMMON ANCESTOR.
Fundie: How can the big bang be right
when we can't know where the stuff that
made up our universe came from?
Rational person: The Big Bang Theory DOES
NOT SAY where the original stuff came
from. It attempts to explain why our
universe is expanding.
Fundie: I don't believe we came from
slime.
Rational person: We didn't come from
slime. We evolved from the first living
organism. We all share similar genes,
plants, animals (including humans)
microbes, all of it.
The fact that we evolved, everything,
plants, animals, microbes, etc., is NOT in
question. The theory in question is HOW
did it happen, natural selection? Or some
other mechanism?

Aww but remember there is a missing link
to the big bang NOBODY can prove or
answer.. How did the elements get there
to make it??
I don't know abouit you but in my life "so
far" I have never seen things just pop
out of nowhere. So the big bang is just as
stilly to me as what God is to you!

Ok.. once again..
Big ban theory:
In physical
cosmology, the Big Bang is the scientific
theory of how the universe emerged from a
tremendously dense and hot state about
13.7 billion years ago. The Big Bang
theory is based on the observed Hubble's
law redshift of distant galaxies that when
taken together with the cosmological
principle indicate that space is expanding
according to the Friedmann-Lemaitre model
of general relativity. Extrapolated into
the past, these observations show that the
universe has expanded from a state in
which all the matter and energy in the
universe was at an immense temperature and
density. Physicists do not widely agree on
what happened before this, although
general relativity predicts a
gravitational singularity.
The term Big Bang is used both in a narrow
sense to refer to a point in time when the
observed expansion of the universe
(Hubble's law) began - calculated to be
13.7 billion (1.37 × 1010) years ago
(±2%) - and in a more general sense to
refer to the prevailing cosmological
paradigm explaining the origin and
expansion of the universe, as well as the
composition of primordial matter through
nucleosynthesis as predicted by the
Alpher-Bethe-Gamow theory.
From this model, George Gamow in 1948 was
able to predict, at least qualitatively,
the existence of cosmic microwave
background radiation (CMB). The CMB was
discovered in the 1960s and further
validated the Big Bang theory over its
chief rival, the steady state
theory. source

key word here is theory! And still does
not explain how the matter got there to
cause it!

That being said....
Doesn't the bible say something in there
*somewhere* about incest being a slight
against God?
If Adam and Eve WERE the first humans, we
ALL would have been products of incest.
