Hi everyone, I have had schizophrenia for
the last few years, about age 8 when i
firtst noticed, I never talked about this
until now and im 21. I have been able to
hide it very well and actually started to
coupe with it. Most of the time manly when
i draw for some strange reason...it's like
another person..but at the same time me. I
didnt know exactly what to think the last
4 years have been great just bc of my
artistic other side, its something i don't
really know if i want to try to treat it
(him). I have learned to actually enjoy
his presence...I don't know what to
do..any advice?

He does need to talk, that's why he/she's
posting this!! Phew...
Damnation, do you feel like there's any
danger looming behind this other self, do
you feel scared? It doesn't seem so, so
just let it be. Any other symptoms?

no need to argue ppl...No i don't feel it
as any threat, but it does effect my
sleeping patterns and some mood swings but
not so much anger at all just sadness and
pure happiness, i actually cant recall
when i have ever been angry.

Hey welcome to the forum!!
Have you gotten formally diagnosed or just
self-diagnosed?
It's great that you are doing so well
right now. I would suggest, though,
starting to shop around and get a
relationship with a good psychologist or
psychiatrist. Sometimes the illness can
change and grow, and you want to make sure
you have access to treatment should you
need it.
Plus a doc could help you deal with the
sleeping patterns and mood swings- that
must get annoying.

Hmm ... I'm not sure you have anything
seriously wrong with you but it's okay to
seek help if you feel you need it.

Honestly it doesn't necessarily sound like
schizophrenia to me, but possibly did or
something.... either way, it's best to
have a real doc diagnose you.
