Not all stomachs get hard. Some have a layer of fat over them.

Generally your stomach will get hard when you are starting to show. This can be anytime from 12 weeks onward.

Would you know if you were pregnant at 9 weeks? Yes. A pregnancy test would be positive if you took one.

The uterus isn't large enough to push above the pubic bone at 9 weeks though. So her stomach may not be 'hard'.

Ok because she has been having symptoms but she hasn't taken a pregnancy test yet. And she has unprotected sex august the 12th. About how far along would she be.

Why hasn't she taken a pregnancy test?

What day was her last period? That is when you count from.

It is important she take a pregnancy test. She can get one for free at your local planned parenthood - or she can buy one at a store near her. They will cost around $10.

J_Gurl, I've read your other postings and I want to say that you have many years to be the responsible adult. Be a teenager when you have the chance because you can never ever go back to these days again. When you are an old lady (like me) you will wish for the days when homework and school were all you truly had to worry about.

Keep using the birth control, okay?

When my best friend found out she was pregnant at about 6 weeks, her stomach was noticably harder than it was before. She would suck it in, but her tummy was always sticking out a bit, and she was pretty skinny. She told me that she thought she was just getting fat.

I would have to assume that this would be from the initial bloating that you would get from being pregnant? Because I could definitely notice a difference.
