Lately Wondering If Im Bipolar... Posted: 10-14-07 01:40am
In my family we have a generation of
depression. Mainly in the girls.
My grandmother is bipolar, severly. It ate
away at her and she basically stopped
doing all the things she would normally
do.
I've interrited depression, but i feel
like its getting worse these days.
My boyfriend had brought up the thought of
me being bipolar from an ad he saw on TV,
and it got me thinking...
My doctor had mentioned and explained what
Bipolar Disorder is once to me. But we
never got to into it at the time.
My moods change so fast.
I can be happy one minute, and then in 5
seconds be down and dont feel like i want
to be around people...i just shut right
down. Then a few seconds later im fine and
talkative and laughable, then back to a
depression mode.
I feel like im on a roller coaster with my
moods, going up and down from hapy to sad
over and over again...
What do you think???

A lot of environmental things set me off.
Prayer gets me through ever single day of
my life, without it, I think I could
probably very easily become an alcoholic!
Don't get me wrong medicine for mental
illiness is very important, when it is
warranted. I think "bipolar" is so open
ended, you know? So don't be so hard on
yourself. Try changing your diet, and do
some kind of exercise every day. Good
luck!

mrsdiet guru prayer is a false sense of
hope....
what kind of anti-depressants exactly... i
tried lexapro and remron effexor zoloft
and one other thats really good i cant
remember though. theres different
antidepressants perhaps you werent on the
right one and you shouldnt have just
STOPPED it. that could be a possibility
why youre letting things eat at you.

Lithium Posted: 10-16-07 01:17am
Well Krystine. Perhaps, one day, when you
lose your mind......You will believe in
God and begin to pray. Have you ever
heard of the saying, "You are what you
eat". Well one day, a long, long time
ago., I used to smoke pot as
needed............Hence, the Lithium.
Havn't needed that or a psychiatirst since
I changed my lifestyle many eons ago.
No, I'm not tooting my horn no one is
perfect! So better get to sleep before
the alcohol sets into insomnia. Good
night, "Mrs. Diet". I like that, I might
have to change my screen name.

Hey!! thsi si about someone is
distress...not an accidental mis use of
the wrong name, people. I agree with
abnormal mind...If you are worried, GO SEE
A DOCTOR. That is the only way you will
know.
I can't belive how many people come on
here sayinig they are worried they have
such and so--GO GET IT CHECKED OUT!!! I
mean, really, that is the only best
advice.
I am sorry you are in distress.
Read the DSM IV if you think Bipolar is
"open-ended." There are VERY specific
diagnostic criteria for each and every
illness in that manual. Look it up if you
haven't...very enlightening...

I totally agree with u praying has helped
me severely. I turn to God and he listens
and helps. I am manic psychosis(bipolar) I
refuse medication. Sometimes doctors write
med for cash and are not always needed. I
know I go a little paranoic at times and I
know I get manic I mean everyone around
notices my condition but I want to get
through it on my own. When I pray it goes
away. That's my solution. My meds are REAL
strong and I am not about to be drugged up
everyday and the side effects on ur health
will eventually catch up. There are
serious side effects.
