How Long Can Migraines Stick For? Posted: 10-14-07 11:28am
Hello, I have been getting head pains off
and on for about a week. I'm assuming it
may be a migraine, but this is a very
uncomfortable feeling. I've taking advil
and tylonal. But it comes back, I went for
a cat scan 2 days ago. But my doctor
hasn't called yet so I'm assuming and
hoping it is nothing serious. I suffer
anxiety/panic disorder so worrying is a
big thing on my part. The pain is on the
side of my head, by the temples. Than
sometimes it's towards the top side of my
head.

a Few Ideas Posted: 10-14-07 17:33pm
Did you know that taking over counter meds
like that can cause rebound headaches? If
your ct scan is ok,your dr may want to
refer you to a neurologist or a headache
specialist.There are headache clinics that
may also deal with migraines.
I had a great neuro that had a seperate
headache/migraine clinic.Migraines can be
hard to figure out. There are alot of
preventatives and there are alot of
abortives.
Have you tried keeping a headache
diary? Some people are able to figure out
triggers or possible triggers that
way.Weather never bothered me.But
now, changes in weather make my pain go
crazy.Some foods can be a trigger,stress.
Best wishes

Have suffered these for over 30
years..migraines can last for a week in my
case sometimes. I found a great
neurologist and if the meds I'm currently
taking do not work, next step is Botox
injections between the eyes. As for your
case, YES, your teeth can have an overall
effect on your well being/health. I think
you should see a dentist and have this
tooth repaired to ensure this is not whats
causing you the headaches. A throbbing
broken tooth sounds painful itself.
Hopefully its not infected.
