I don't think Women's Conditions is the
right forum for this. I'll move it to say,
General Community Chat
To answer:
1. What is the meaning of life?
Who knows?
It is different for everyone; there is no
single "true" answer to this
question.
2. What is happiness in life?
Again,
this is different for every single person.
Mine is different from yours, and no, you
can't have it
3. What are our motivations in life?
You may
notice a theme in my answers: Everyone's
motivations are different. On a very basic
level, we all want food and
safety.
4. What defines success?
It differs
for every person. My success could be
utter failure to someone else.
5. How do we attain success/happiness/find
meaning with life/etc?
Many ways!
It is different for everyone. Usually hard
and/or honest work and effort is
involved.
To Eiri, the meaning of life is to explain
what you just said without answering your
questions j/k I just hope you're
not a teacher though
As Eiri said it's pretty personal, so
don't you guys claim to me that what I say
doesn't apply to you.
1. What is the meaning of
life?
Developing good karma. You can either be
useful to society in productivity matters,
or you can be supportive for others who
have harder times, which indirectly makes
you useful as well. Doing nothing all life
in the corner of your room is not good.
Not useful, no karma.
2. What is happiness in
life?
Ketchup Chips.
3. What are our motivations in
life?
For many: love and fun. Unfortunately,
some of us believe those are the only
single things we have to worry about in
life.
For me: make a difference, having my name
written somewhere, so people would
remember that an optimist pacifist came
along and still could live on earth
without crushing himself.
4. What defines
success?
Those 15 minutes of fame you will never
forget.
5. How do we attain
success/happiness/find meaning with
life/etc?
Being curious usually does the trick. The
more you see the more you know what makes
you happy.
What if you're unhappy ? Same thing: be
curious, i.e. try something else.
When you're choking in the pool do you
stay underwater ? No, you get out and walk
away to breathe a bit, get out of there
and do something else.
There's no timing clock waiting behind
you. It's okay to not master some
situations. Some day you'll come back to
that swimming pool and swim just as a pro,
in time.
