Possibly Pregnant...and Don't Want to Be. Posted: 10-14-07 22:15pm
Hey guys,
I'm new here on the forum and I really
need some help here.
Normally I would be the greatest advocate
for a child's right to live, but somehow
in my own personal case, I can't let that
happen.
I am terribly afraid that I might be
pregnant, and I don't want this to be the
case.
The guy I was involved with used me and
then dropped me...and if it is true that I
have his spawn within me...I will not
carry it to term.
I hate saying all of this, but I do not
want children...sadly enough. I've been
too ill all my life for my body to handle
the stress of a pregnancy. I may just be
overeacting...but I'm going to get a
pregnancy test tomorrow to make sure.
I'm horrified at the idea.
Is there a safe way to terminate a
pregnancy without having to deal with a
doctor...?
Are herbal abortives safe?
How much is it going to cost me to get a
medical abortion...if I can take the
pills?
How do I find a doctor that will actually
do this for me without making a fuss??
My biggest problem right now is
transportation...I'm living with a friend
up in the mountains of North Carolina, and
she's not the type that would understand
an abortion...at all.
My car isn't working and it's going to be
at least another month before it's
fixed...I can't wait that long!!
Like I said in the beginning, I'm
absolutely terrified of the prospect,
because I have never wanted children.
I'm a career woman trying to finish
college and have a life of my own...and I
don't need this!
Some people may find all this
disgusting..and really I'm disgusted with
myself, but I'm willing to accept the
consquences of my choices if I am pregnant
and I terminate...
Someone please give me some guidance and
help! I'm so scared...I never planned to
be this kind of woman...or this kind of
person.
Please help!

Yes, you should 1st make sure that you are
before driving yourself off the wall about
it and you may not even be. You should
also be more careful if you don't want
children, like not having unprotected sex!

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.
Maybe you are a little more open to why
this choice is so necessary?

That's okay! It doesn't make you a bad
person at ALL. Many women have no desire
to have children. You clearly know your
own body and your situation clearly enough
that you don't want to risk anything, and
I can't agree more with you.

No. I would never suggest an herbal
abortion. Doctors are not scary or evil,
and they will not hurt you. You are
choosing abortion for your health as you
said, so please make the healthy choice
and get it done the right way by a trained
professional.

There are two kinds of abortions, but it
sounds like you want to go the medical
route. The pills are normally placed in
the vagina against the cervix, so no
swallowing needed!
I warn that a medical abortion may be very
hard on your body. If you'd like to get it
over quickly and relatively painlessly,
I'd advise a surgical abortion.

Easily! There are many places to call, and
everything is always private 100%. I think
some of the other ladies on here have
sources on where to call depending on
which state you're in.

You could have her drop you downtown far
away from the clinic and say you are going
in for wisdom teeth or something, so
you'll need a ride back afterwards
obviously because you'll be woozy from the
anesthesia (especially if you choose
surgical). If you're choosing medical,
same thing, get dropped off downtown, walk
or ride the bus to the clinic, get what
you need, and then go home with her. You
could even spend an hour or two shopping
as cover, since the actual aborting
process doesn't start until you insert the
pills at home.

We would never consider you disgusting! We
are pro-choice on this part of the forum,
and so we will do all we can to help you!

We don't know if she had unprotected sex.
A condom, spermicide and any number of
things could be involved. It doesn't
matter, though. It's still her choice.

It's more like a suggestion. To anyone who
doesn't want to have kids. They shouldn't
have unprotected sex or should use some
other form of BC. I wasn't saying that
she did have unprotected sex.

I live in North carolina, and I am give
rides to women that do not have
transportation.
There is a wonderful clinic in ASHEVILLE
called FEMCARE.
I would highly recommend surgical
abortion. They give you IV SEDATION, and
the staff is awesome!!
