Q: How Long to Wait For Vbac?

Hiya! My husband and I are wanting to have another child. Lachlan is almost 1 and we ideally would like them 2 years apart. I had to have a c-section because i was leaking amniotic fluid from 33 weeks (lachlan kicked a bit too hard!) and it was risky letting me go to long due to an infection.

Does anyone know if 2 years is too soon for me to try for a natural birth? PS - lachlan took 15 months to concieve so chances are they might end up being 3 years apart, but who knows maybe i'll get lucky.

Thanks!

I've read somewhere online that it's recommended that you wait 2 years after a c-section to attempt a vbac, but it's not required to wait that long. I'm not sure if that's the case most times. Maybe Ingi or someone else has a better answer tomorrow. You can always ask your doctor what he/she recommends and make sure that they agree in letting you attempt it. Good luck when the time comes! I've also read the same thing about waiting 2 years. Just so everything heals properly.
