my bf and i have been dating for almost 3 years now...everything is perfect except for the fact of his exgf! omg it drives me CRAZY! last summer (we were together 2years then) we went for ice cream at a local dairy well we walk in and he grabs me and we walk rite out...why u ask? cuz his ex gf was there.......then about a few months later we went to a mini mart..well we walk in and HE HIDES!!! and tells me that she is working there and that he wanted to leave...so he left me in the store by myself and i bought my things and left and more recently we went to a bazaar and saw one of her best friends there and my bf was talking to her asking who she was there with...well the whole time that we were there he was like looking over his shoulder and things were VERY awkward that night!! he claims his weird behavior is because he just doesnt want to talk to her (his ex cheated on him) i think he is still hung up on her.....please help me this is driving my nuts!!! Confused

well then, talk to him. i think he just feels its awkward to see his ex especially that he mentioned his ex cheating on him. but in any case, if he's not over with his ex, then he as to tell you because you don't want him to stay that way when your going out. it's hard when you're out on a date while he's defensive and all.

Well, bumping into your ex sucks. Period. Whether you have feelings for them still or not. Just because he gets a little awkward doesn't mean he's not over her. You need to talk and find out what he's thinking. Chances are he's like everyone else and wishes he never had to see her again.. It may not have anything to do with your relationship. Just ask and communicate.

If you talk and this still doesn't stop, don't freak! There's things you can do too to keep your man's focus on you. I'd keep it subtle though. Don't let the conversation stop so you're in that awkward silence. Keep talking! And stay connected physically too. When I feel like I'm being ignored-- it happens-- I just rest my hand on his thigh. Nothing too crazy but he notices and then he's back to me. If you're not comfortable doing that it can be as simple as squeezing(not painfully) his hand or snuggling a little closer.

Make sure you let him know that its awkward for you too. If he doesn't even make an attempt, or its just too much for you. Hun go find a guy that will make you happy then. Smile good luck
