Hi!
I've heard about ASTYM treatment as a
relatively new physical therapy that had
helped patient with various diagnosis when
other treatments have failed (the ASTYM
system is well established clinically and
used since 1996)
This therapy is used by rehabilitation
professionals to treat fibrosis that's
damaged or scar tissue.
Specially designed instruments are used to
scrape and mobilize damaged soft tissue in
order to effectively stimulate the
body’s healing response. Thus, causing
the injured area to remodel or regenerate
new, healthy tissue.
Appropriate treatment is determined by
physical therapist after evaluation of
patient's condition. ASTYM treatments are
given 1-2 times per week and one session
includes treatment with specially designed
instruments for 15 minutes and 15 minutes
of exercise.
Most patients responded well in the first
three to four visits.
Do you have scar tissue due to
mastectomy?

Not for myself. I heard about a gal in
Indiana who had terrible post-surgical
scarring and ASTYM made her pain-free. My
mom had a mastectomy and I'm wondering for
her sake.

I'm sorry for your mother.
When did she have the surgery?
Did she have local radiation treatment
after her surgery?
I 'm sure ASTYM treatment will helped her
with the healing process.
Her condition and tissue quality need to
be checked first.
Correcting abnormal soft tissue is
important because it may interfere with
movement and cause pain.
