In Need of Bipolar Friends and People to Relate To Posted: 10-16-07 20:48pm
im friendless lonely and sick of having a
style of no style. it seems my crys for
attention my cry out for friends always
fail. i just want someone who i can talk
to someone that i can relate to. ive put a
barrier up to keep from hurting others
emotionally and to keep myself from being
hurt. i really dont trust, depend, or keep
people close. due to the fact no matter
what no one can be me. not really open
to advice. i feel so empty so lost and
confused. i want someone that i can talk
to on a day to day basis someone that will
listen and not judge me, just to
understand. im tired of seeing and
hearing you cant blame that on bpd. "we"
dont use it as a crutch or excuse. its
simply the way things are and it IS the
reason why it happens that way. ive seen
so many people be a critic and just so
judgemental. everyone is different i
realize that. the hard part is a lot of
others say just because you have bpd you
cant do that. would you expect someone
with autism to just snap out of it? or
someone with another disease/disorder to
be able to do what they can not. the only
thing ive seen here lately is about bf/gf
husband and wife with bpd. then saying
how they do things and blame it on bpd or
why you shouldnt be with someone that has
bpd. its offensive, deeply especially
when maybe more than half are misdiagnosed
read about it and become what they read.
then the comparison how they have bpd or
know someone that does and make it sound
like its something so easily lived with.
it definitly is not. more than likely if
you have bpd youve got more problems
mentally... personality disorders anxiety
to ocd. im just upset because we're
suppose to be here for support and so on
but i havent had one person contact me on
aol instant messanger. so what is the
point, why come to the table when you
bring nothing....
i just want to have bp friends and just
friends in general and im still waiting on
AIM for a response

Hey give it some time---people sometimes
take awhile to come and check here. Id
suggest that you talk it up here and make
some friends--pretty soon they will come
to you. dont give up hope. things will get
better.

Hi, try responding to some of the other
individuals with a diagnosis of b.p. on
this forum. You sound like a very smart
person and could probably help out alot of
people, and in turn begin to develop a
relationship with someone and share your
writings.

There is one small board called Wing of
Madness. Very supportive. CHeck it out.
Then of course DBSA, but I don't care for
it as much.

im 18 years old and was diagnosed when i
was 14. It was a genetic thing. I found it
hard, I wanted to be illness free, so to
speak. For me acceptance was the key, i
opened up, expressed how i felt. Not
telling every single person of my
condition but it pass on it, was open.
I've never met anymore apart from my
grandma who has it.
