I went in to today to have an ultrasound done after some light spotting last night and this morning. I am supposed to be eight weeks along however when they did the ultrasound they could not see the baby's heart beat (which they saw at my six week ultrasound) and the baby has not progressed in growing. They are checking my HCG levels and doing another ultrasound on Monday is there anyone who has had this happened and can tell me what to expect. I am hoping that the ultrasound was a fluke and that next week they will see a heart beat and tell me that everything is fine however, this is probably wishful thinking any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
