Could I Get Pregnant???
Posted: 10-17-07 08:43am

Hi, I am knew here so I'll tell a little about myself..... I am 17 almost 18
( nov 4 ), Married. Ok... my question is....... Could I get pregnant? My husband and I did not know I was ovulating october 14 and 15 and we had unprotected sex. Twice on the 15th. Im not really worried but anxious to know. How big of a chance is there that I'll get pregnant? I don't know if I am still ovulating today.... Im gonna take a test again in about 10 minutes.

How do you know you are ovulating? Are you temping?

Using general online calculators that say you ovulate on X day if your period is 28 days long, gives a good general time frame, but it is far from scientific. It will give you an average of when you may be ovulating, not actually when you personally are.

You don't usually ovulate for more than one day. For instance you wouldn't be ovulating on the 14, 15, 16 and 17th. You would ovulate on the 14.

You have as much chance as anyone else trying to conceive, I believe that is 25% or something. The average healthy couple takes up to 12 months to conceive a baby.

What are you testing for?

I took a home ovulation test all those day except the 14th. and they all say that I am. I know you can't ovulate while pregnant. But could an ovulation test say your ovulating when you really pregnant. Because there is a chance that I could be from a differnt time. ( last month ). I still had my period but... my nipples are sore and I feel really crampy.

You said you didn't know you were ovulating here - but then say you are using ovulation predictors. Your words contradict your behavior...

An ovulation detector WILL NOT detect pregnancy. A pregnancy test will detect pregnancy.
