Last week I had tested positive for a UTI.
I was given 5 days worth of Macrobid.
After 3 days I started to feel better and
kept taking the Macrobid till it was
finished. Around 2 days after I had
finished the Macrobid, I started to get
the symptoms again. I went back to the
clinic and my urine tested negative for
UTI. He used the "dip-stick test" and had
told me that sometimes it is not accurate,
so he send my urine off to the lab for
analysis. He also gave me a two week
prescription for Macrobid again.
I was also diagnosed in 1998 with
Interstitial Cystitis. After a year I went
into remission.
My question is, has anyone else had
problems simmilar to mine? With a UTI that
takes so much antibiotics to get rid of?
I am really hoping that this isn't IC
flairing up again.

You know. I have been having alot of
problems with UTI's re-occuring almost
every month, but it was usually sex
related. After going to a gyno, she said I
had signs of Cervicitis...which is also
something I guess that has to do with
infections, she said it maybe playing a
roll causing the UTI's or maybe UTI's
causing the Cervicitis and they are just
bouncing back and forth. Ever been told
anything about Cervicitis before? I've
never heard anything about IC...I wonder
if maybe I'm having problems, or maybe
ours might be similar...im not
sure....I've been struggling to find
answers and releif as well...just sucks..
