Folic Adic And Depression Posted: 10-18-07 05:50am
I have been chronicly tired for ages now,
so after a few checkups they found out
that i have a low folic acid level.
Now i do think im depressed, I can barely
smile i can scare myself about thinks that
prolly wont even happen, And some times i
get insomnia.
But i would never kill myself its just
something i cannot do.
Now for my question is depression a mental
condiction or biological condiction,
So if i get my folic acid back up which
should take a couple months, will my
depression go away or will i need help.
The thing in my mind is that im not happy
but i want to be happy,
There are a 2 friends that i latch onto
safe me from this hole.
Thanks

Depression is both biological and mental,
they are related causes to a very complex
problem. If your doctor found that you
have low folic acid, by all means start
taking it! It might help. But if it
doesn't, there are things you can do to
help that. Medications work for many
people, as well as therapy, as well as
lifestyle changes like diet and exercise,
meditation and the like.
Try the folic acid, and if that doesn't
help, see a psychologist who can suggest
other things that will help.
