24 Week Appointment...
Posted: 10-18-07 11:37am

Well, I had my appointment today. He said my fundal height is perfect and that the pain I've been experiencing is normal and is just from where my uterus is not used to all this growth and to up my water intake again. I have gained a total of 13 pounds so far, and 6 pounds of that has just been gained in the last four weeks so I'm going to start watching what I eat. I don't want to gain over 25 pounds. I was already heavier than I wanted to be so I definitely don't want to go over that. I guess I could start walking too.

My next appointment consists of my glucose tolerance test. They gave me the nasty drink. It's orange! Oh yeah! I'm probably gonna puke. I've never been able to chug anything. I usually just sip. Oh well, gotta do what you gotta do. I will talk to you ladies later !

I'm so glad your pains are 'normal'. Not glad you are having them! Just glad they aren't doing anything bad.

Swimming is also really good when you are pregnant!

it was fruit punch Smile
if you drink it cold its better
its really sugary and tastes like flat soda i guess thats the only way i can describe it
but it wasnt that bad

maybe the pains youre having is ligament streatching?

If only there was somewhere to go swimming. I'm not in school full time right now so I would have to pay a chunk each month to go to the fitness center. I really don't see myself feeling like driving 45 minutes to go swimming for about 20 minutes and then driving back.

It probably is mostly ligament but the pains are like in my vagina. It's not all the time though but when I have them they are very hard for me to bear. My mom said she did the same thing though so that made me feel a little better.

Yeah, I have to pay to visit the pool near me too. For me and my daughter it is about $60 a month. And that is just for the pool privelage. I totally understand. Walking is very very good when pregnant.

It's not sciatica. I don't get pain in my legs or thighs. It's just in my hoo ha.

oh, and don't throw up from your orange drink! then you'll just have to do it all over again.

mine really wasn't bad. you don't have to chug it, you just have to drink it within 5 minutes. i had mine cold with a straw and it tasted just like orange soda, mine wasn't extra sweet or flat.

Yay! I'm glad your appointment went so well..
Man! I had the same pain... it wasn't a sharp pain , it was like a constant trhobbing ache, right in the , you know *area*
Near the end it was so bad nothing made it better... but after I had the baby , it went away almost instantly.
Pregnancy hurts... but it's soo worth it!
