My nine month old has always has "spells"
of constipation. My pediatrician claims
this is normal but prescribed lactulose
for these "spells". My baby will try to
have a bowel movement and eventually will
pass one, but sometimes it has jelly-like
blood on the stool. I can see flesh
pushing out of her rectum when she is
trying to "go". Is this internal
hemorrhoids or anal polyps? Should I take
her to a gastroenterologist for a second
opinion?
