I have been on Nuvaring for about 3 and
half weeks now. This is the first time ever
for me to be on any type of birth
control.Well this is my ring free week and
im not having a period.I know for sure
that im not pregnant. On my ring free week
I have been cramping like I normally
would and a large amount of brown spotting
but no period.Do you think it's just my
body trying to adjust to this new birth
control? Is it common for most women to
not get a period the first month they use
birth control?

What day are you on? Sometimes your period
won't come until half way through or
almost all the way through the week.

Nuvaring, like many types of birth
control, is also known to slow a woman's
period. So if it really lightens and
eventually goes away, that's normal too.
