Long Update, Hopefully Not Too Boring :)
Posted: 10-19-07 00:16am

I just wanted to give a little update I guess =)

I'm doing really really good, if anyone was wondering. I'm SO happy to be back at my old highschool, with all of my old friends. I hate waking up early in the morning, but that's the only thing I have to complain about. I can't believe I left for 2 years, just so I could be a slacker and get out everyday at 11:45, I'm pretty mad at myself for that.

I got my progress report and I have all As, 1 B & 2 Cs (ew at cs) but I'm working really hard to raise those. One C is in language arts, which is really weird seeing as how every time he assigns a paper, I sit at my table (while all of my friends talk) and I do my assignment, and I'm usually the first one to hand in my paper, but I'm making extra effort in that class now, I'll update about that in a few more weeks when we get grade cards =) I have a 3.28 GPA which is good, considering I was at a 0.87 or something when I left my sophomore year.

Tomorrow is the day we order our cap and gowns, we had an assembly over it at the beginning of the week and the rest of the day I was almost in tears. I'm just realizing that this is it, this is my last year to be me, everything after this year is new and fresh and I have no idea what's going to happen. I'm starting to realize that I need to make grown up decisions, I have responsibilities this year instead of jacking around the whole time. I have classes that I HAVE to pass in order to graduate, my future is about to hit me across the face!

With that said, I'm pretty stressed out, but I'm trying not to let it get the best of me. I've been working a lot, almost 30 hours doesn't sound like A LOT, but with 40 hours of school + DECA, it's gotten overwhelming the past few weeks lol but I love it. I don't sit at home all the time anymore like I have the past few years, I actually have motivation to go out and "play" with my friends Laughing and I love working, I LOVE my job, and I have motivation to do good in school. A few days a week I get up before school and I work out at the gym, too. I'm starting to get guns, mmm Laughing

I've decided I'm going to go to college to be a labor and delivery nurse (Like Laura?) & I'm job shadowing next week (probably not in the labor and delivery unit, obviously, but still) I don't know where I'm going to go to school, but I'm looking into it, and applying for scholarships starting now. This part is really confusing!

Anyway!

As for my relationship, there isn't one. Tommy and I broke up officially about 2 weeks ago. Him and I are actually doing really good, we've talked since then just as friends, and we've decided that this was a good decision. I've been playing the field a little bit with a guy at work and it's fun, I like having fun =) he's really cute and funny and he's been to my house several times watching movies Laughing I have a hard time keeping my mouth closed about things that make me excited =) aaah.

& Reese is doing really great, we're not letting him outside anymore, I feel bad, it makes me want to put a leash and collar on him and walk him so he can at least get a breath of fresh air LOL and he's really fat now, too. There for a while he got SUPER skinny, but we've been feeding him kitten food and he's doing so much better.

So there you go, right now I'm really stressed, but excited, any words of wisdom? I really am scared for what's to come in the next few months & I appreciate all of the advice I can get for those of you who have been there.

how is everyone else doing? I'm ready to see pictures of Kristina's new apartment! & I miss all of you!

Goodnight!!!

I'm really happy for you, and so glad things are going well for you. I miss talking to you, but with both of us being so busy it's hard to find that time to chat!!
Congrats on doing so well in school, I'm very proud of you!

That is brilliant Terra! I'm so happy things are going well for you Very
Happy

When my kids are older, I am going to be a L&D nurse (we call them midwives here)

It takes three years to train but they work long 12 hours shifts and the pay is really low

Still hasn't put me off though but I want to wait til the kids are much older like say the youngest is 10

That is great news Terra. I am sorry to hear about you and Tommy, but it's nice that you two are able to remain friends. Kewl to hear you have a "friend". That is always exciting.

Great work on your grades. 2 C's is nothing to be ashamed of, so be proud of yourself, especially since it's such an improvement from before.

You will be a wonderful nurse. I just know it! It's so important to find a career that you will enjoy and make good money in the process. Our L&D nurses make $27 an hour or more depending on experience. More for holidays, on-call, overtime. Lots of work to get there, but I think it would be so worthwhile. My sister is a L&D nurse and she loves it. Make sure you get your Bachelors in Nursing and not just a Nursing certificate. It's a little more work on your part, but it makes a huge difference in what you are eligible to do and it's easier to further your education if you go that route.

Yay for L&D nursing! I really think you'll like it, Terra bear! It's great that you're doing so well in school. You have plenty of time to bring those C's up. Yoo cun dew eeeet! Laughing

Graduation stuff is fun! You should look online and think about how you want to design your class ring! Plus you get to do all the fun stuff like prom, Senior Skip Day, etc Wink definitely make every moment count!

Thanks guys!!! =) I'm really excited about L&D nursing, I've been thinking about it for a few months now, I change my mind soooo much, but I really like this idea. I will work with babies!

Graduation stuff is fun, it's just so stressful! It's all so expensive, the cap & gown package, plus announcements, plus prom, plus everything else lol but it is exciting. Today I took a college day (ha) and I'm going to Kansas City with my friends to go to the mall and to the haunted houses later tonight, I'm so excited! I would have gone to a real college, except I don't plan on going around here, so it's okay. I might as well take a college day that I'm not going to use, rather than miss a day of school and have to take finals!

I'm really excited for prom, except the guy that I'm "talking" to, most likely won't be here. He leaves for the navy in February. BLAH! But who knows where that'll be by then.

Thanks! I'm glad too!
Well Kansas city was AWESOME. We went to the mall (Me and my friends; Becky, Jayce, Matt (a different one) and Shawn) and then we went to eat at On the border, and then we went to the haunted houses...

I was so afraid to go in, but i did anyway! I was behind Shawn, and the whole time my face was burried in his shirt lol I had my eyes closed the whole time during the first one, it wasn't that good anyway, there wasn't much there (not that I would have seen anyway) and then the second one "the edge of hell" was really cool, I actually opened my eyes on this one, it was pretty scary. All of the scary people went for me since I was the one hiding my face, one lady said "come on let me fix that problem for you, i'll cut off your face or better yet i'll pluck out your eyeballs so you dont haveto see anything' and i said 'LEAVE ME ALONE IM NICE' lol they just kept messing with me, jerks. I'll have pictures of that soon.

& I'll post pictures of matt tomorrow =)
Now, I'm going to bed. I work tomorrow from 5-10 pm, & I took over someone elses shift too, so I'm also working 11am to 3:30 pm lol goodnight!

Sounds like things are really going well for you! I think being an L&D nurse would be so much fun! I'd probably cry everytime I new baby was born though lol. Ahh & I can't wait to go to some haunted houses! I don't know if they have these anywhere else but we have corn field mazes, they take a few hours to get through & you do it at night. Right before Halloween they make them 'haunted'!
