Am I a Virgin?
Posted: 10-19-07 18:34pm

one night I was with my boyfriend and we were messing around drunk. i told him I wanted to have sex with him in general. but i i kept saying no when he tried to "put it in" i was being flirty again and we were messing around so i think he thought it was okay and he sorta of poked in me. i immediatly freaked out, because I didnt want to and he immediatly stopped. It was one poke just a little in, i couldnt really feel it (maybe the alcohol?) and i definitity didnt want to, but I dont think he knew that? My virginity is REALLY important to me, because i think sex is a huge deal, and though I wouldnt classify that as sex, i want to know am i a virgin? did that count.

If his penis was inside your vagina, you are not a virgin. If his penis did not go inside your vagina, you are still a virgin.

No, in my opinion it didn't count. To loose your virginity you need to have real, full penis-in-vagina consentual sex.

i think that you are still a virgin as to lose your virginity would mean that he went all the way in.

Virginity means more than just that part of it anyway. You are ABSOLUTELY A VIRGIN.

Unless you consciously chose to have sex and lose your virginity, then in my opinion, yes you are still a virgin.

I think you are still a virgin. If he didn't go all the way in...and you didn't feel him "pop your cherry" then you've got nothing to worry about! We all slip up sometimes...you got lucky enough to not slip up all the way!

^^--- Misinformation Alert! --^^

There is no "cherry" to pop.

What sometimes breaks during a girl's first sexual encounter is the hymen. This is located at the very outside of the vaginal entrance, NOT deep inside.

The hymen is often broken by the girl during physical activities such as biking, karate, inserting tampons, horse-back riding, and masturbation.

Most women do not bleed during their first time. Aka, no "cherry" is "popped". That phrase refers to the hymen breaking and bleeding.

If you would have read the post I had on the last one that you tried to "confront" me on, you would have noticed that I said every woman was different. Now, realize that it is an opinion, and there are two different ways people view having lost their virginity:

1. If there was full vaginal penetration from a man's penis.
2. If the hymen was broken by a man's penetration.

For me, when I had full vaginal intercourse for the first time, my hymen broke and I felt it...therefore, when I replied I was giving her an opinion from my own personal expereience. I did bleed after the fact, and my gyn told me that this was natural, and it happens to many women.

I had no hymen to break. I guess I wasn't a virgin at birth.

Including the hymen in a definition of virginity is archaic, sexist, and quite useless.

No.

Your "opinion" holds back women. I can't allow that. Believing a hymen is proof of purity, and SPREADING this archaic "branding" is inexcusable on my watch.

Women limit women by saying, "no, you can't believe in this, that or the other thing" (archaic). What you are doing is disrespecting women's opinions in the past, and women's opinons now. So since my opinion is inexcusable on your watch allows you to speak for women? Who dictated you to become the voice of women. You have no right to limit a woman's opinion, and if this is what I believe than be a strong enough individual to disagree with it and move on. All women are different, and I'd rather take an arachic opinion over degrading another woman's opinion without just cause.
