Pain Too, Post Hysterectomy Posted: 10-22-07 21:54pm
I am 48, and had a vaginal hysterectomy
laproscopically. I kept my ovaries. I
developed a post op infection on day 7,
and was down for 1 1/2 weeks because of
it. I am now back to work, and feel so
much better than I did before, for a long
long time, due to heavy heavy bleeding,
anemia, and severe cramping. Now tho', I
am having pain on both sides of my lower
abdomen, in the area of the ovaries. I was
wondering, could this be ovulation? I
experienced this before, but I thought for
some reason that I didn't or couldn't
ovulate any longer. But it is a bother, I
was looking forward to NO pain in that
particular area, after 15 years of it.
Does anyone know what this is all about?
The infection after was way worse than the
surgery it self. But now I also am having
a discharge not unlike before during
mid-cycle. Wow, let me know if anyone
knows what I am talking about.
