Intestinal gas forms from two main sources - swallowed air and bacteria in the intestine. Plus, learn which factors to avoid to decrease the likelihood of gas....
How much gas is normal? Usually symptoms of gas and flatulence are more bothersome than serious. But learn when you should seek help for excessive gas here....

Is it in the center of your chest or more to one of the sides?

Yeah, that sounds like it's probably gas. Can you take tums or gas-x? Both of those might help. I've always found that laying on my side helps. It might be really painful at first, but if you give it a few minutes, it tends to help lessen the pain.

Drink a fizzy pop and burp. If it feels like burning a little, this is heartburn. Take tums.

Rolaids are okay o take durring pregnancy and so are TUMS. They are the same thing. But it should help. They help me every time I get gas or upset stomach.

I literally LIVED off of Rolaids during my pregnancy. My Dr eventually told me to get Zantac 175.

THey have Rolaids that are for gas *&* heartburn! MIRACLE workers!! lol!!

Is it still bothering you?

When I had really bad gas bubbles, i couldn't even try to make myself burp because then I'd throw up, lol, so my fiance would pat me kinda hard on the back a few times - and out they came : ) I know it sounds funny, but man it worked wonders!

Ginger tea, drops or just right out of the spice rack put in water. It's just a spice and perfectly safe, so drink up a bunch. Should take care of it. Ginger ale is the best soda for stuff like that, but the fizz can also cause you to get more gas and make things worse.
