My parents were evacuated and everyone
else in Valley Center (my home town)
and we are still in our house.. The air is
horrible but I just keep the baby inside
with the fans on..Its about all we can do.
We are still on the be ready to evacuate
list... We stopped watching the news
today. Weve been stressed out and
freaking out over everything we heard when
most of it isnt really true so we decided
to be ready to go but to act as if life is
normal. I am so ready for this to be over
with!!

work? its the military, they dont want you
to waste their money to put u up somewhere
else

yep at work! awesome i seriously hate the
marine corps right now.. it really feels
like they dont give a caca about the
families..
all they care about is training for Iraq
which isnt for a few more months..
ERRR
there are so many rumors its amazing..
seriously weve been told were going to get
evacuated like 5 times and it doesnt
happen..
im so over this!

Vanessa, where is Valley Center? Is that
in San Diego?
How close is the fire to you guys? Are
you on base?
My dad said that it is on the other side
of Pendlton so Im guessing thats on the
Oceanside part of the base? I can't
really remember how far down it goes. My
dad says that he will only have to worry
if it goes through Pendlton and over his
mountain.

yup thats just the military in general
their moto is "your family didnt come in
your sea bag" my husbands been in Iraq for
2 mo and gone for five and not one person
from the base has contacted me. so much
for an ombudsman
