For over a year now, I have been getting
DIZZY.....a pass out feeling, although I
never actually did pass out. I also feel
"something" which I thought was my ear. I
just went to a 3rd ENT doc, and he claims
it is TMJ.
I do hear a click when I open my mouth,
but other than the dizziness, no pain etc.
It does make sense, because I had just
gotten dental work done right before this
dizziness started. But this dizziness is
so scarey, that I put myself into a panic
attack. I've been to the ER 3 times in the
past year, thinking it was a heart attack.
My doctor gave me Adavan, which she said
would help both the dizziness plus the
anxiety attacks.....but I am EXTREMELY
sensitive to meds. I took 1/4 of the .5 mg
pill, and it did relieve the anxiety, but
all day I had an outer space feeling!!
Ugh.....I can't deal with that....I HAVE
to be able to function, drive, etc.
The dizziness is so scarey to me that I
stay home, and hide. I can't do the things
I used to LOVE like working out, going to
the mall & tanning salon, etc. This is
SUPER frustrating!! Since I can't take the
meds, I end up coping with wine.....the
wine for some reason helps.
I'm looking for any suggestions!! I'm a 49
year old female, in case that makes a
difference.
And also have a question. It's really odd
that I seem to get really dizzy at certain
places/times. Like anytime I walk into a
store with flouresent lights. I walk in a
mall, and it''s really bad, but as soon as
I am in a (darker) store, it goes
away.....then as soon as I'm back in the
mall part, it comes back. And the
dizziness is REALLY bad if the mall etc
has an upper level. Do the rest of you
experience the same thing? It just seems
odd that if it was TMJ......why the
problem with the lights etc? I also get
dizzy other times, but these seem to be
the worst.
Please help, because I am SO tired of not
being able to live my life!!
