I nominated my
oldest sister,Heather for this
Thanks-for-Giving Ambush Makeover
contest.
The contest is for a Thanksgiving special,
I believe.
I was to write a short story about how
giving Heather is, so naturally-I talked
about how she has custody of her little
brother-in-law, Jacob, who is 8 years old,
and her little sister-in-law, Kaitlynn,
who is 15 years old.
I was on my way home the other day and who
should call me? A.B.C.-the television
network.
They kept asking me these questions about,
what does Heather weigh, how tall she is,
how long her hair is, if it's ever been
colored... her clothing size, whether she
needed her teeth fixed.... stuff like
that!
Then they asked me where she should be
ambushed, if she should win. I told them
her work.
They then informed me that the winner
would be notified sometime during the week
of November 5th.
Then I received
this e-mail today.
Dear Marianne,
We are currently reviewing your nomination
for the Thanks-for-Giving Ambush Makeover
contest. Though we have not yet selected
our winners, we would like you to be
informed that in the case that your
nominee is selected, we would ask you to
provide the following:
1) Family photos (eg. wedding day,
birthdays, family trips etc.)
* please note that photos are not
required to be of special occasions.
2) Home videos (if applicable.)
3) Any other visuals that would allow us
to illustrate your story.
4) Means for us to verify incidences and
events stated in your letter.
It is not necessary to provide these
items/details immediately, however, we
would like you to be prepared should the
need arise. Please inform us if you're
unable to fulfill this request.
