a Couple ?'s Posted: 04-03-04 00:04am
Ok me and kevin just got a kenwood stereo
for in our house, we got two tower
speakers with 12" subs on the sides of
them, but kevin decided it didnt pound
hard enough (i think its loud enough if it
was rattling the pots and pans off the
landlords counters... They live upstairs)
but anways kevin says there isnt enough
base for when we watch movies so he
decided he wanted to go out pricing
powered subs well we went to american and
found this 12" powered sub for like $400
and kevin decided thats what we are
buying, he put a down payment on it and
everything so we dont have to wait for
them to get back in stock cuz I guess they
are going like crazy, but oh my god is
that thing loud!!! But I was wondering
is this going to hurt my unborn babies
ears?? Somebody was telling me that loud
sounds can stress the baby out and kill
it, but I dont really believe that, and
then another person was telling me that
her friend always kept her stereo in her
car loud during her whole pregnancy and
the baby could sleep in the back seat and
the vibrations helped it sleep. Also
another question is does anybody know if
infinity powered subwoofers are any good?
Ive never heard of infinity but kevin said
he heard its supposed to be even better
than bose.... But did we waste $400?

I dont think that you should have bought
that. I hate loud people in apartments,
and I also think that you should have
saved your money for that baby, you are
gonna need it!!

Kevin had a bunch of toys he wanted to
buy, I told him to chose one toy since we
got a baby coming, he chose something that
I wanted too... So we are gettin our
suround sound stuff and everything. And
trust me our landlords dont care as long
as its not late at night. We dont listen
to it that loud. We are gettin this stuff
now so for when we move out into our own
house awhile after the baby comes then we
have a nice loud stereo... Maybe music
isnt as important to some people as it is
to me.
Whats the point in buying something cheap
if your going to get the real thing for
cheap. We will have a $2000 stereo for
$800... So I think its a good deal and is
best to get it before the baby comes... I
still got awhile to get stuff for the
baby.

We wanted to get something that will last
us for the next 20++ years... Cuz I think
its pointless to buy a cheap stereo cuz
then its gonna sound like crap, and a boom
box only lasts about 2-3 years and then
stuff starts to go wrong. We actually got
a really good deal for the stereo, it was
$400 for a kenwood receiver, a kenwood
equilizer, and two kenwood tower speakers.
It is my thing lol
music with out all the bass just doesnt
sound the same, to me its like listening
to it with half the words if you only have
half the bass its suppose to. I dont know
I guess im just weird lol. I was brought
up with loud music, in fact my mom listens
to her music really loud and has done that
forever, I can actually still sleep
through loud music. I fall asleep better
if I got a speaker blaring in my ear... I
guess im just a music person, I would
rather listen to music than watch tv so my
stereo is as important as some peoples
favorite shows, or their big tv im
just in a really talkative mood right
now... Sorry so long

I hope the bass doesnt send you into
labour! U probably should have saved for
baby but oh well,i guess your man might be
feeling left out so as long as you have
money for the baby, you should enjoy the
stereo!! Have fun!

There is just no way I would spend that
kind of money on a stereo or would I let
mick spend that kind of money, I would put
the money toward a fund for the baby, for
schooling and college and stuff.
I know even tho the baby isnt born yet, my
dad always says if u say u have ages
eventually ages will be upon u and u wont
know how to pay for something.
From someone who cant wait to have a
jellybean all of their own
p.S. Just an opinion tho

Hey girl! Dont worry about it! I spend
500.00 on mine home stereo system and I
put thousands of $$ into my lowrider cars
just to make them bounce! its
cool! You deserve something nice for
having a baby!
