Other then the religious content it would
be a nice book to explain pregnancy to a
younger child. I do not like the
deliberate misstatement of fetal intellect
and self awareness from the very begining;
this is a lie.
Overall.. a B.

It is very sweet, though yes, misleading
about fetal intellect. Plus it doesn't
show anything younger than about, oh, I'd
say 10 weeks.

My mom made we watch a discovery channel
video about how babies are made and born.
Trust me, there were no pretty pictures in
that video lol, but it really sparked my
early interest in gynecology actually and
I really learned a lot of unbiased, purely
scientific information.
But I was like, 7, so for younger kids
that probably wouldn't be appropriate. Any
book, in my opinion, would work, as long
as you're open and willing to discuss
questions that come up and there's no
blatantly wrong information. The part
about having an intellect might be a
problem, but as long as you're willing to
talk about it. Of course, it's not like a
5 year old should be debating abortion so
whatever....

I think it would make a good gift for an
appropriate party. It was cute, too.
It would have been nice to see a more
realistic setting. Like,
Then I felt a thud, and asked my angel
what that was.
"Daddy", she said. "He is drunk again."
...
I heard loud voices, and felt vibrations.
"What is that?" I asked my angel.
"That is an argument", she said. "A
condom broke, and now you are here, and
there is much strife."
"What is strife, angel?"
"You will know soon enough", she said, and
I had to be content with that.
