I have a question that doesn't exactly
pertain to me but i'd like to know
anyways...
Okay, let's say I had sex and the next day
or the day after that I got my period, is
there still a chance of me getting
pregnant?
If I had sex during my period, is there a
chance i'd get pregnant.
And one more thing, if I have sex the day
before I have my period, then get it, is
it possible even though I got my period
then I could have gotten pregnant because
the sperm stays in the body for however
long it stays?
I know these questions might sound a
little ignorant but i'm just getting my
stuff straight. Thanks for the help in
advance.

Yes, yes and yes.. Most definitely..
It's definitely a myth that you can't get
pregnant while on your period.. Ask the
girls who believed that and are now
mommies because of it..So don't ever think
that you can't get pregnant while on your
period.. Cuz you will most likely be
greatly disappointed by the outcome.

Thank you...
I don't think I asked one of my questions
properly...
If I have sex the day before i'm supposed
to get my period, will I get that period?
Because i've heard that sometimes it takes
the sperm like 3 days to get there. So
what happens then?

Yep, you will.. You can conceive up to a
week before you get your period and still
get it..

Okay thank you!
I did this (have sec right before my
period), but I was asking because my
friend doesn't believe me that you can get
pregnant during your period. When I did,
I used a condom though.
I was supposed to get my period on the
31st or 1st, and I had sex last night
(1st; with a condom), and I still haven't
gotten my period.
If a condom doesn't break, how effective
if it? I checked the condom after he took
it off, and it wasn't leaking, it didn't
break, etc. But I am still worried
because i've had a pregnancy scare before.
This was our first time since then, and
since this happened, i've been trying not
to let it happen to other people so i'm
like a raging fool asking these questions.
Thanks again.

Condoms are as effective as birth
control.. About 98%.. If you're really
stressing thinking that you might be
pregnant, you might not get your period!!
Stress does that to you, and that only
makes things worse.. If you don't get it
within a week or so... Take a test!!!
Good luck

I heard someone say something about
condoms being more effective than birth
control pills/patch/shot if they don't
break.
I'm not really stressing, I don't
think...I don't know. I don't really
worry about a lot of stuff, i'm kinda laid
back. It's weird that I didn't get it on
the 31st though, i've been maeking my
periods and they're been around the same
time. It's weird cause I didn't have sex
since my last period. Also, when do I
have to get my period to be sure i'm not
pregnant this time. Like a week after or
so?
Thanks.

Ya, I would say a week or so.. And
condoms are more effective than bc in the
fact that they help prevent std's and bc
doesn't.. Ideally you should be using
both.

Oh, and the fact that this was the first
time you've had sex since your last
period.. Im about 99% sure that you will
get it.. Even if you are pregnant.
(which in this case sounds unlikely if you
say the condom didn't break). Just be
patient!

Well, then I hope I get it a week from
yesterday! I know we should be using
both, but we don't have sex a lot, and
it's not worth...Well, I guess it is worth
it but I am a minor and I can't get on b/c
without my parents knowing which I don't
want them to. Also, we both don't have
stds, some i'm fine in that department.
Thank you so much for everything...It's
nice to know that someone cares enough to
help.

One more thing...
What's the worst time for having sex when
trying to concieve? Like, what are the
most infertile days, more or less? I'm
not depending on this completely, but i'd
just like to know. To put my mind at ease
for one time or another.
Thanks again.

Hi,
here's a useful website which charts the
*average* woman's cycle - however yours
may not be exactly the same amount of days
- you may ovulate early or late - so don't
rely solely on this. Even ppl who use
natural family planning as a method of
birth control do not rely on scientific
charts but rather on the changes in the
woman's body ie. Temprature changes and
cervical mucous discharge. But for a
general idea check this site.
