Hey guys! I'm new here (actually, I'm a
new mother to a baby boy
We went through a LOT choosing our baby's
name. I was wondering what your biggest
problem was choosing a name. How did you
solve it?
For me, it was that my husband and I could
not agree on anything! We went through
dozens and dozens of names until we
finally settled.
This looks like a fun place to be !

Our biggest problem is that my husband
literally does not like ANY of the names
other than Jamison and even that one he
says he is indifferent to.

Our biggest problem was his refusal to
choose a name that he dated. And my boy
was a bit of a manwhore before we got
together - so almost all of my favorite
names were a no! Sierra, Adrianna, Danica,
all nos! We finally settled on Jayden
(which was my first choice, but at the
time he said it was a "hippy name", then 4
months later he's all How about Jayden?
Like it was his idea XD)

ours was the agreeing part lol
i hated his and he hated mine
eventually the name kristen taylor just
popped up and we both loved it!
if he would have stopped being so darn
stubborn we would have picked avery for a
girls name. i love that name
but he wouldnt budge on it

it was the agreeing on the name that was
the hardest. bobby refused to name the
baby after any of his ex's or people he
slightly disliked so we were limited lol
but we finally chose either elizabeth or
william

We didn't really have too much trouble
picking names. We decided on Ryan and
Laura long before I got pregnant. But when
it's time for baby number 2 we're gonna
have a problem. He likes really
traditional and sometimes borings names. I
don't like really out there names but I
like the name Taryn and Shianna for girls
and he just HATES them. So naming baby
number to is gonna be a pain!

We had our kids names picked out before I
was even pregnant but the hardest thing
was the fact that I like/love heaps of
names especially for girls and my partner
only likes a few. I like all sorts of
names (unusual, trendy, commen etc) and he
only likes normal names (though he DID
agree to the name Skye but I think thats
about as unusual as he'll get).
I have picked names for our next children
if/when that happens but no doubt partner
will have his say too which I guess is
fair enough but if it were all up to me
that'd be great.

Our problem was that most of the names we
got advice on were what we thought were
just all to common and trendy. We both
wanted something somewhat unique, and
because its a girl we are expecting we
wanted the name to sound pretty and
elegant. I'm now 36 weeks along and
expecting my first and we decided to name
her Victoria Ashley Renee I picked out
Victoria and hubby picked out Ashley which
is common but diddnt bother me for a
middle name. Her 2nd middle name is my
middle name and my mothers as well. I
don't like it lol but my hubby loves it so
we compermized!
