Beginning new BC pack - can I take 2 pills on Day 2? Posted: 10-28-07 19:56pm
I forgot to pick up my birth control today
to take them. I couldn't get them since
all the pharmacists are closed that will
give it to me. They said they can fill it
for me for tomorrow but I usually start my
new pack sunday, will this completely
strike me off or can I just take 2
tomorrow and be ok and be still in cycle
and safe and will my period still come
reguraly or will it all be messed up?
Thanks

Hey, long time no see!
Umm.. well I really don't know.
First of all, it shouldn't effect your
period too much if they've gotten regular,
so I wouldn't worry about that.
I guess I would take two on Monday like
you said, but I would probably use back up
for seven days to be safe. Or just take
one on Monday and turn into a Monday-start
girl. That would work, but you'd still
need to use backup.

Hey! I know it has been so long, school
and work really took a toll on me and my
spare time! How have you been? (So off of
topic haha. )
Well the reason I was mainly worried was
because of my periods, I love them coming
on thursday everytime, it always comes
like clockwork and I don't want to mess
that up. So I feel good that it wont mess
up my cycle. But as far as starting on
monday, eh I don't know. Sunday just felt
right. Can I start on Monday this month
and then go back to sunday next month and
be fine? I guess I will just go get them
tomorrow and call my doctor. You know how
I am, I always stress and worry, this time
just about my period cycle hehe. Thanks
for replying so fast.

YES, take two in one day.
You would need to use back up for 7 days
if you have sex.
By taking 2 pills in one day, your rhythm
may stay the same!
Start your next pack on sunday like usual.

Okay thank you!
So tomorrow take two, and it will be as if
I took one today? And then next month take
on sunday and everything will be like
usual?
I really do hope so. :] I don't feel like
going through all the bc changes.
Thanks to both of you!

YES, that should do it.
WORST case is that you have some spotting
But the two pills should really help with
that.
