Feeling Very, Very Sorry For Myself Right Now
Posted: 10-28-07 20:43pm

Brians gone, my house feels empty. When he gets home he will of been gone for the last 46 days of 59.
Then he will be home for a month or two and then he'll leave again for seven.
It wouldnt be so bad if he werent my best friend. I hate that he has to miss brees first steps, first birthday, my bday, his bday, anniversaries, milestones in our daughters life. Ive been sobbing all day.. maybe im pmsing?
This is awful. Being a stay at home mom with nothing to do right now sucks.
Sorry guys, just feeling super sorry for myself right now.

And please hold off on the he signed up for this remarks. I know that and I know what I agreed to but im not in the mood to be criticized for feeling sad.

hahah end of pitty party.

I'd feel like a complete ass if I told someone "your husband signed up for this so deal with it". They're over there risking their lives and I'm sitting here comfortable at home enjoying my freedom. Nope, I have nothing but love for everyone in the military, and nothing but RESPECT for their families for being so strong.

If I lived closer I'd go somewhere with you =) I need to get out of the house, too. Does your family live close by?

Its been said to me by more then one person on here so I figured id throw it out there. See I feel even more guilty when I complain because my husband has to be in a uncomfortable, dangerous place and I know it hurts him just as bad as it does me, but he still never complains. I have it pretty good too.

Hey Girlfriend!
Posted: 10-28-07 21:45pm

Vanessa, I for one am very proud of you........very so very much proud of the man you married and father to Brianna. He is out there everyday putting his life on the line for each and everyone of us...and I thank you and hope you pass this on to him. It has to be devastating on him knowing he is missing out on his daughters first, and annive. and birthdays........but this is not permanent. Why do you not start making a scrap book for him on like a day to day basis? No, its not the same, but at least he can experience the "first' by using pictures and words of how it felt to you. THings go by a lot quicker when you have someting to occupy your time. I remember being out in Lawton Oklahoma, alone during my first husbands duty. I had no family or friends........I stayed home in an empty apartment alone, with nothing to do but a tv set.....no car to drive....I was only 19. I went to a craft place and started learning needle point, crochet and painting. I made Christmas presents and passed the time until my huisband came home. How I wish you lived closer, I'd make damned sure you and Bree would not be lonesome.....I'd adopt you as my own! But we know that not possible, so we are alwasy here if you want to vent Sweetheart. You can alwasy PM me as well............I am Fairy*Godmother, 50 and have a daughter 24.............and no grandchildren in site.....so I can pretend to be yours and anyones elses! HUGS to you! Mary
