When Does Everyone Take Their Pill?
Posted: 10-29-07 11:16am

Hey everyone. I really need to get a regular time to take my pill. I used to take it before I go to bed - but really that was so irregular!
When does everyone take it - I'd just like to see how everyone remembers / what time is best for them!

Also, if I start taking my pill at a different time for the next pack (like in the morning instead of in the afternoon) will I have to use back up for a week before I'm safe?
Thanks!

When I was on BC, I use to take my everday @ 5pm. To remeber, I'd set an alarm in my phone so that I'd NEVER forget to take it and I NEVER did. So I wouldn't forget to set my alram, as soon as I would turn it off I'd set it again for the next day. That's what worked for me.

You can switch times during the pack and be safe as long as you're not on the mini-pill.

When I was on the pill I experienced taking it at two different times. Initially I took it in the morning at breakfast. That was the most regular for me. I eventually switched to taking it at night and became very irresponsible and it is only by a miracle (not miscarriage Evil or
Very Mad) that I am not pregnant. Long story.

I suggest taking it in the morning personally. It becomes part of the routine. Wake up, shower, make toast, drink juice and swallow pill.

Awesome - thanks for the input! But what about weekends Eiri when you slept in? Did you set an alarm to take it or something?

I had both mine and my dh's cell phone set for a reoccuring alarm. They were both set to a lullaby type ring tone. LOL. I took mine a 7pm. We were normally together at this time. (for dinner normally) and if my cell wasn't around his was. It got to be habit pretty quick. For both of us.

I set an alarm to take it at 7:30 (I'm on the mini pill so I have to be exact). Sometimes I'm just waking up, sometimes I'm still asleep, but I keep a water bottle by my bed so I can just roll over, swallow the pill, and go back to sleep. Now I practically don't even wake up, I just sleep take it.... lol

Yeah, I always woke up around the same time every day anyway.
