Okay, I'm about to sound like the worlds
worst mother but I just need to vent. ((
I'm pmsing & just all around miserable
tonight. )) I've been so frustrated with
Kaylee all day today. Do you guys ever get
so frustrated with your little ones that
you just don't want to be around them!? I
hope to god I'm not the only one. It
started this morning, she usually wakes up
all happy & sits in her crib for a
while & plays. This gives me a few
minutes to wake up as well so I can
function. Well this morning all she did
was whine & it was the most annoying
whine. All of this after she woke up in
the middle of the night & I rocked her
for 2 hours until she finally fell back to
sleep because she was fighting her sleep.
Then, everytime I tried feeding her today,
she'd throw all the food on the floor or
bat the spoon/fork & once even the
whole bowl of food out of my hand. It's
getting to the point where I actually
dread having to feed her because it's a
horrible time when I do! All she did all
day long was whine & want me to hold
her & walk around with her. She was
fine playing for a little while today so I
did some dishes real quick but as soon as
she sees me sitting down for a second
she's right there at my feet whining. I
was for the first time really looking
forward to her going to bed tonight &
then .. even that was a fight. Today has
just been an all around bad day I guess.
It doesn't help anything that my period is
due any minute now so I'm getting
irritated over every little thing. I feel
sorry for Shane because 99% of the time I
take everything out on him but I feel that
when he's off for the few days in between
working (He works 3 days nights, 3 days
off, 2 days nights, 2 days off, etc) that
he should help a little bit more around
here. Not so much with housework but with
Kaylee in general. It takes me getting so
frustrated that I actually walk out of the
house for him to step up & try calming
Kaylee down. Then when I say something to
him about it all he says is "Well you
should have told me you wanted me to take
her".. Or something along those lines. I
was in tears tonight trying to get Kaylee
to bed. I feel awful for even feeling this
frustrated toward her. I love my little
girl to pieces, most of you girls on here
know me well enough to know that & Shane, we're
doing better than ever, I just wish he'd
start picking up hints when I need a 5
minute break or so. If I'm not the only
one who's ever got this frustrated with
their little ones (& I hope I'm not
because then I'll feel worse), what do you
guys do to calm yourselves down?? I
probably sound ridiculous but even after
typing all of this out I'm feeling a
little better Sorry if this is
long..

You're definitely not the only one hun!
You're not a bad mother at all.. we all
need a break sometimes. Jenny is a fairly
calm baby, but there are still those days
where I can't get ANYTHING done, because
all she wants is for me to pick her up, or
feed her milk instead of solid food...
*sigh*
I hope you feel better soon.. & I hope
Shane starts helping with Kaylee more
often. We're here for you any time you
need to vent!

Everyone gets frustrated, sweetie. There
have been so many times where I bring a
screaming Alyvia to Aaron and tell him
flat-out "Take her from me NOW. I'm losing
it." She has a way of whining that's like
nails on a chalkboard to me, and she loves
to push on my keyboard drawer, "help" me
type, undo all the straightening I'm
trying to do, throw her food all over the
place and shake her head "no" at me when I
try to feed her, scream like she's being
stabbed with a fork if I don't let her sit
in my lap 24/7...
You are DEFINITELY not alone!

Vent on Sweetheart..............I remember
those days quiet well. Now that my
daughter is 24, I sure miss those days.
You are a wonderful Mom you jsut need soem
time to yourself............As for Shane
taking hints.if you figure this one out,
please let me know....Women are from Venus
and Men are from Mars....we have to come
right out and tell them every little
damned detail...............Here, take
your daughter, she'd driving me up the
wall.............you are being a normal
Mom.....you seem to be so devoted I wonder
if Kaylee is not having separation
anxiety? Is she not feeling well and does
she always act this way? Please feel free
to vent anytime you wish, cause we are all
here to support you, especially me, PM if
you ever wish................I TOTALLY
understand, my daughter was the same
way..............I'd actually go outside
and scream sometimes just to make myself
feel better! Start telling Shane when you
need a break....let him take over some of
the things you usually do so you can have
a minute to yourself! Hugs and
Kisses......Tomorrow will be better! Mary

make dinner!
our kitchen is tiny and i don't want finn
around while i'm cooking. the whole time
i'm in there, he's in there trying to get
in the garbage, get in the fridge, get in
all the drawers and pull everything out,
hanging off my legs whining for food like
a puppy, and so it goes. while all this is
going on nick is sitting 10 feet away at
his computer in his own little world!
and you're pmsing, that doesn't help!

I knew you guys would make me feel better!
I seriously think I'd be ripping my hair
out if I didn't have this forum!
Zanny, one of the things that usually
starts Kaylee's little food throwing fits
is if I refuse to give her a bottle until
she's eaten most of her food. She wants
that milk in her bottle all day long,
forget any real food.
Laura, that's how Kaylee's whining is to
me, just like nails on a chalkboard. You
couldn't have said that better!
Mary, I seriously love all of your
responses, you always make me feel better.
(As do the rest of you!!). I know I have
to start telling Shane to help but it
seems like he'd realize it when I'm
sitting there in tears with a whining baby
on my lap that I need a little help. Do
you think she'd be having seperation
anxiety even if I'm just going to a
different room for a few minutes? I don't
know a lot about that but I'm going to
look into it. I know she's feeling fine,
she's just been crazy lately. She's
getting so high maintanence.

Same exact situation here only Shane sits
in front of the tv playing PS2 instead of
being on the computer.
Tomorrow I'll probably look back at this
thread & laugh at how whiney I was.
I feel so much better knowing I'm not the
only one who goes crazy once in a while!!

Oh heck, Alyvia has SERIOUS separation
anxiety. If I give her to Aaron for a bit
and start to leave, she starts screaming
like I'm leaving her on the side of the
road. Or if I want to poop by myself ( ) she
cries outside the door and bangs on it
with her little hands.

I guess I always assumed that separation
anxiety took place when the mother (or
father I guess) was actually LEAVING, like
going to work or just leaving the house
for a little while. I didn't realize it
could be happening with me just leaving
the room.

Ohhh yeah.. Can't wait for that
It makes me sad to know that all of this
might just be separation anxiety Is her throwing
food & acting out just a way to get
back at me for going into the kitchen or
to the bathroom??
lol.. It really is amazing how much I am
still learning about being a Mom!

I wonder the same things! I sat there
today thinking "Why is she throwing her
ravioli all over the floor? She's got to be
hungry!" And then she shook her head "no"
at me when I tried to feed her from a
fork, and I'm like "What the heck is wrong
with you? You barely ate!" And then of
course she was digging for a boob later
and I'm like "WHY DIDN'T YOU EAT THE REAL
FOOD?"
It's a freaking baby conspiracy, I swear!
Kaylee and Alyvia are PLOTTING.

I hate when Ava refuses to eat! She hates
spoons and forks. She wants finger food
only! It's hard to feed her healthy
foods. Her new fav: 2 hotdogs and a cup
of corn.

hearty eater!

but he doesn't use it.

She'll eat a little more than 1 1/2. I
buy the microwavable cups of corn that
come in a 6 pack from walmart. She likes
that. I get the carrots and green beans
too. It's easy and quick to finger feed.
I guess she does eat alot. She can eat a
whole can of raviolis too.

lol Laura we better watch out! I knew
Alyvia & Kaylee were both too innocent
looking
I'm going to look for those veggie cups
this weekend when we go shopping! I've
never seen them before but they make those
little fruit cups, why not veggie cups!
Another easy thing we started getting is
those microwavable cups of spaghetti &
meatballs .. Mac & cheese ... For the
life of me though I cannot think of what
brand they are & it's right there on
the tip of my tongue! They're pretty easy
though, there's a lot of times I don't
feel like cooking if it's just Kaylee
& I here so I just pop one of them in
the microwave & then at least she has
her lunch or dinner!
