Week-to-month Conversion.
Posted: 11-01-07 15:39pm

Ok. SO I'm 27 weeks preggy.

How many MONTHS does that make me??

Before 2 weeks ago, I would have said I was in my 7th month. But now I don't know WHAT to tell people when they ask...

And if I am, infact, in my 7th month. WHen would yall say I start my 8th month?? And so on?

you're due on jan 29th? that means you just hit the 6 month mark on october 29th, and you're *in* your 7th month. so if someone asked you would say 6 months.

i don't know if this will confuse you more, but around the 14th or so you could add on a half a month each month. so on nov 14th you would say 6 1/2 months.

that's how i do it. i'm due april 6th, so every month on the 6th i begin a new month of pregnancy. then on the 21st i add half a month.

Rachel's chart helps!!!

I don't understand your method too much, B. If I hit my 6 month mark, how do you figure I'm in my 7th month? That's WAAY confusing! lol!!

According to the chart Rachel posted, I'm JUST starting my 7th month. Which is understandable!!

So, I'm in my 3rd trimester ALREADY!?!?!?!? Jesusssss!!!!

right, according to rachel's chart you are 6 months and *in* your 7th. it's like oni is 1 year old, but she's *in* her second year of life. get it?

going by rachel's chart (which is the same as my method), you're 6 months and will be 7 months when you complete 30 weeks.

OHHHH!!! I see now how you're doing it!!!!

I'm a little different in my method of telling months though.

According to the chart, I would tell people I'm 7 months. ANd when I hit 31 weeks, I'd say I was 8. Once I'm in the last month, I just say the due date which would be extreemely close!

Thanks yall!!!

just say 7 months since you're actually *in* your seventh month. Less confusing that way.

right, but 7 months and being *in* your 7th month aren't the same. you're not 7 months until you complete month 7 at the end of week 30.

sorry, this is my pet peeve.

Embarassed

it's just like going by weeks. i'm 17 weeks 5 days, so i'm in my 18th week, but i won't be 18 weeks until sunday.

edited to add: i swear i'm not this anal about everything.

next friday you'll be 8 months, but *in* your 9th (as in you'll just be starting your 9th month).

2 weeks after that you'll be 8 1/2 months.

your due date marks 9 complete months.

edit: this is what i do...

i'm due april 6th, so i go backwards from there. so on november 6th i'll be 4 months, around nov 21st i'll be 4 1/2 months, dec 6th will be 5 months, etc. if someone asked me today i would say "i'm almost 4 months".

my method and rachel's chart are the same thing.

I always looked at it this way.....

week 27 is 7 months 1 week....
week 28 is 7 months 2 week.....
week 29 is 7 months 3 weeks....
week 30 is 7 months 4 weeks....

then week 31 starts month 8........right? I dunno. I think it's easier to say I ______ weeks preggo.

nope, weeks 27-30 make up month 7. you're not 7 months until you complete those weeks. so...

week 27 is 6 months 1 week
week 28 is 6 months 2 weeks
etc...

i just go by the calendar with people who don't understand the weeks thing.

This is how I do it.

But when I tell old folks I'm "27 weeks" They say..."that's great, but how many MONTHS are you?!" LOL!!

If I'm 7 months 2 weeks, then I'm going to obviously say "I'm 7 months" when someone asks me.

And when I hit 31 weeks, I'll say "I"m 8 months."

technically no there aren't four weeks in every month. but we won't get into that because it's even more confusing.

So, when would YOU experience your ninth month? On your due date?
Or, would YOU say "I'm 8 months" until you hit your due date? Being that you haven't actually COMPLETED the 9th month?

I just don't understand how you EXPLAIN it. I understand WHAT you're saying,to a degree, but not HOW you're saying it. If THAT makes any sense?

SO, I had Oni at 37 weeks. Would you say that I was 8 months pregnant when I had Oni?
Because I would say that I was 9 months.

ok... go to a calendar and find your last period. i believe it was in march? so go through the calendar from there, march to now is... how long?

you're 7 and a half months.
