i wont be in a wheelchair all day long
ill be there for a few hours
its saturday and im going to the mall
laura i understand how you feel and what
youre trying to say but im not the type of
person to just do nothing
travis is trying to help as much as he can
so i dont have to move around because hes
paranoid. i honestly dont think going to
the mall for few hours will hurt. ill
call the doctor again tomarrow and ask her
again though. but when i asked her she
never said no
she did say she wouldnt "recommend" me
going trick or treating though
which i did
and i shouldnt have gone and should have
listened to the doctor. but im stubborn
and i wanted to go.
i dont want her to come early
but at the smae time i dont want to be in
bed all day and night long
i guess if its what i have to do then yes
i will do it
i just dont wanna

IMO, you are 16, and soon to be a mother.
You don't need to go trick or treating.
It's time to grow up.

Way to put your daughter first!
Free candy is worth more than your

Suzy, it's time to start thinking like a
MOTHER and not like a teenaged girl. If
what you say is true and you're 2
centimeters dilated, you do NOT need to go
to the mall and be pushed around in a
wheelchair. You do NOT need to go sit at
the movie theater. I don't see how buying
some lotion and a few christmas presents
is worth risking labor. Do you realize
that if Kristen were born now, she'd be in
the NICU?
Just, dude. Think about it for a minute.
Stop being stubborn and just... stop.
You're either in too delicate a shape to
go downstairs for food, or you're strong
enough to go to the mall. You can't have
it both ways - it makes no sense at all. I
don't see any reasonable man rushing
around bringing you food because you're
too delicate to move, and then forcing you
to go to the movie theater the next day in
exchange for bringing you to the mall.
You're a mother now, and this is one of
the many sacrifices you SHOULD make to
make sure Kristen stays put. Whining about
how you "don't wanna" makes you sound like
a 16 year old child, not like an expectant
mother worried about her baby coming
early.

They could TRY to stop it. It's a stupid
thing to risk. Not for some freaking
lotion and a movie. Stay home, do some
online stuff instead.

They can *try* to stop it. But there are
times when they can't. So don't depend on
that for her to stay put.

so its not a guarentee they could stop
it?! and then what happens? because what
she said was the main complicaction
kristen could have if born before 37 weeks
is lungs that arnt fully developed which
they could inject steroids in me if i go
into labor before 37 weeks
so thats what we were most worried about.
but i thought they culd just stop my
labor. i had no idea that they couldnt or
that it may not work

They can TRY to stop labor. There's no
guarantee that it'd work. The steroids
might help, but they won't guarantee that
she'd be fine. Karin's son was born nearly
at full term and he was sick for at LEAST
a week in the NICU. He was born way after
34 weeks.
Like I said. Is lotion and a movie really
worth it? Is "not wanting to" really worth
it? If you're going to be hard-headed
about something, be hard headed about your
baby's health. The mall isn't that darned
important.

This guy I worked with, well his wife went
into labor like 2 months early and she was
hospitalized for a few days because they
tried to stop labor. It stalled it for
awhile, but the baby was still born way
too early and was in the NICU for some
time. I don't recall exactly how long, but
that's just to show....you can't count on
a shot to stop labor.

she didnt
she told me that she was going to make my
apts every week now
and she would check me each time to make
sure i havent dialated anymore. she said
that if i am more than 2cm before 37 weeks
(like if she checks me and ive dialated
more ) then she will put me on bedrest
other than that she never said no about
anything
she said i couldnt go to houston for
thanksgiving because thats too long to be
sitting in a car and that by then i could
go anyday
she said she is going to give me a u/s
next appt to see how the baby is doing and
stuff
and she wanted to monitor my BP

Every hospital is different, but I highly
doubt they'd let you stay. I'm sure they
won't let you stay in the same room. But
this lady had to go home empty handed.
They couldn't stay with their baby

Wouldn't sitting for a long period of time
include being in a wheelchair or theater
seat? You said she said to lay down and
prop your feet up.
