Cake!

here's a pic of the cake i made for finn's
birthday. it looks like crap but it's the
first cake i've ever decorated, so i think
it's still kind of cute. it was fun
though, and i want to do more!

looks great Bridget! Not a bit crappy at
all. You sound like you've given finn the
best birthday ever as it is, but I'd feel
really special to know my mom made me a
cake like that... even if I didn't know it
until I saw pictures of it years later.

thanks girls!
i've always said i want to be the mom who
makes all the birthday cakes and halloween
costumes.
i forgot to mention that my mom put the
brown lines on his feet. i wanted him to
have bare feet but she said he needed
sandals. i don't know how those lines are
supposed to resemble sandals.

Thats really good! I always make Jays
birthday cakes because hes allergic to
store ones I have to use soya
milk and egg replacement baking soda, and
I make frosting because icing sugar has
egg in it. Never tastes very good but I
decorate it all nice and he gets to blow
out the candles on his own cake -that
matters more. I'll have to find a better
tasting recipe next time.
