How old is your youngest? Baby blues last
the first two-three weeks, but after that,
it may have become PPD. This is common,
but you should probably talk to your
doctor about what you are feeling. Does
depression run in your family? If so, you
should definitely talk to a professional.
Also try taking your kids out to the park,
or do activities, if applicable, with
them.

I agree. Sounds like you are getting
deppressed girl. The above poster is
right. Start getting out with those kids
and have some fun. I was a non working
mother and I did everything with my kids
while dad worked. There are so many things
out there like nature trails etc.. that
cost little to no money at all and it
makes for a great day out. Bottom line
here is, I think you need to get out of
that house more then you are. This is the
nicest part of the year. You and your
children should be enjoying it todgether.

I agree with the last two posters. You
need to get out and enjoy the wonderful
gifts you created! Focus on their smiles
and giggles, and when they tell you
"mommy, I love you!", bask in the glory of
having someone adore you so much. Your
kids look up to you, and your partner
loves you. Nature helps the
blues/depression a lot of the time, so go
on some walks and play ball in the park!
If you are still really depressed after
getting out there, I would try going to
your doctor. Depression can sometimes be
fixed really easily by medication.

I had the same issue. After I had my
little girl I got hit with the baby blues
then when she was about a month old I
started feeling trapped, like all I did
was take care of her and she nor my
husband cared at all. I cried alot and had
serious mood swings...I scheduled an appt.
one day because I wanted to hurt myself!
They got me in the next day and put me on
zoloft and I feel so much better. I never
thought I would feel like that and never
thought I would get better, but the key is
to get help as early as possible because
this can get worse before it fixes itself.
