I cant get Amelia temperatur down. I been
giving her tylenol all day and its not
helping and now the temp has climbed up to
101.8 from 100.5 She wont drink or eat not
one bite! Shes burning up! And a cool
washing off isnt helping either. Im scared
because i dont know what they would do.
Please please pray!!! I dont have anyway
of keeping in touch with guys. Unless I
give Terra my number or someone else. I
probably wont get on tonight. Im super
tired already
Now Im just waiting till joey gets out of
the bathroom. Im fixing to leave him and
go on.

did you call your doctor's after hours
number? i have to go find the sheet but i
don't think a temp of under 102 is that
bad. they might tell you to just keep an
eye on her and it might not be worth going
to the e.r.
i'd definitely call the doctor before you
head out.

My doc always said if Kaylee's temp ever
went up like that to give her the tylenol
then 4 hours later infant motrin &
just to keep doing that. I'd def call
before you go otherwise they might just
send you right back home!

Bridget
I tried calling but it wont go through
The doctor told me today if I cant get her
to eat or her temp starts rising and
tylenol/IB doesnt seem to be doing the
job, to go to the ER. I tried everything
that she recommened trying before heading
to the ER but nothing has worked

The temp isn't anything to be worried
about. 101/102 is not burning up. In
fact, I'll be that once you get her out in
the evening air, her temp comes down. ---
I HOPE IT DOES!
After years of being a mom and watching my
kids go through their various sicknesses -
I've noticed a pattern. Generally kids are
better in the morning than they are in the
evening. Just as adults have patterns in
being sick, so do kids.
If she has a fever and isn't eating
solids, I wouldn't be as concerned about
that as I would be about liquids. But, you
should totally get her checked out! This
may have been what her problem was the
other night when she screamed and screamed
and screamed.
Good luck.

Since it was a cool 70* here we wanted to
take a walk to see if that would help her.
It did!!!! We came back and I took her
temp, it was 100.2! She was sleepy so I
gave her some Motrin and gave her some
milk and ice. She guzzled that down!!!! I
was in tears because I was so happy
because that was the first time she
actualy drank her milk today. So I hope
shes doing much better by in the morning.
The doctor said give the antibotics 24hrs
and I will see a difference! I think I
already am.She wasnt as horse when we
layed her down. Im just so happy that she
has something in her tummy

Why not give them together? You can give
both if the baby is over 3 months right?
And they are different ingredients so
theres no risk of an overdose. Ive always
given Jay both at the same time every 4
hours when hes really sick.

Im way to parinoid to mix medicines! I
never mix mine or Amelias unless doctor
says so, sometimes still not then. Im
afraid of the accidently drug overdose
thing.

i would never mix them either. i'm pretty
sure i was told tylenol and then the
motrin 2 hours later. i've never given
both in the same day so i don't remember
for sure. i do remember one is definitely
supposed to come first and i think it's
the tylenol.
i don't get why they suggest that anyway.
i take one or the other for myself, why
would i give both to my baby?

Thats how i feel. And even though I have
the paper that tells me how much to give
them for this weight, I still dont give
her the full ammount. Almost but not
quiet. just a thing i do lol

Motrin is better for a fever. You can
alternate every 2 hours.
Glad she is better.
