Plan B Emergency Contraception - no period for 3 months Posted: 11-06-07 13:20pm
I took the pill "plan B" after having un
protected sex so it would prevent me from
getting pregnent. It worked i got m
period a week after taking the pill. I
assumed after that everything would go
back to normal. It had been 3 months since
then and i have not had sex either but i
have not had another period. Iv tried to
find information to see if this is normal
but i have had no luck. If this is normal
or means someting is wrong with me please
let me know. Im starting to get conserned.

That is very good that you were
responsible and took the initiative to get
emergency contraceptive after having
unprotected sex. However, make sure to
only use it in emergencies and not as a
normal form of birth control, because it
is not nearly as effective as BC
pills/condoms/etc, and it can throw your
hormones out of whack if you take it too
often.
Have you taken a pregnancy test to make
sure you aren't pregnant? If it has been
3 months since you've had a period, maybe
the "period" you thought you got was
actually implantation bleeding. Was it
lighter than usual? Take a test if you
haven't.
Are your periods normally irregular, or
before this happened did you have a set
schedule?

sounds like a pregnancy test is something
you should look into
