i was debating whether to post this on
here as it's really personal but i see you
girls as my friends and quite frankly i'm
terrified
yesterday i was trying to go poopy and
couldn't. i though nothing of it and
washed my hands then tried to check my
cervix and cervical muscous (cause we're
ttc) well when i put a finger up there the
back wall was rock hard and bulging
i was scared so i checked on the internet
(i know, i know) and i have quite alot of
the symtoms of a prolapse. now i believe
it to be a rectal prolapse but i am sooooo
scared.
i have an appointment to see the doctor at
10.30am tomorrow morning and i'm worried
what they going to say.
replies would be appreciated.

Maybe what you are feeling in there is
your poop. You said you were not able to
go and if you were constipated it would
affect how you felt down there. This is
going to sound awful, but when I was
pregnant with Jaylon I would get
constipated so bad. It hurt like hell.
The only thing that would help me go
naturally was sex. It pushed the poo out
of there. TMI!!!! LOL
Good luck

Sounds like maybe it could be
constipation.

You know, I just did a quick look at what
rectal prolapse consists of and feeling
something hard on the backwall of your
vagina doesn't seem to be a symptom. Are
you having other symptoms other than not
being able to 'go'? Like long term
symptoms, etc?
Rectal Prolapse Symptoms
The symptoms of a prolapsed rectum are
similar to those of hemorrhoids; however,
rectal prolapse originates higher in the
body than hemorrhoids do. A person with a
prolapsed rectum may feel tissue
protruding from the anus and experience
the following symptoms:
Pain during bowel movements
Mucus or blood discharge from the
protruding tissue
Fecal incontinence (inability to control
bowel movements)
Loss of urge to defecate (mostly with
larger prolapses)
Awareness of something protruding upon
wiping
Early in the development of a prolapsed
rectum, the protrusion may occur during
bowel movements and retract afterwards.
The protrusion may become more frequent
and appear when the person sneezes or
coughs. Eventually, the protruding rectum
may need to be manually replaced or may
continually protrude.
People with internal intussusception, in
which the rectum is displaced but does not
protrude from the body, often experience
difficulty with bowel movements and a
sense of incomplete bowel movements.

Signs and symptoms
In mild cases — when a rectocele is
small — it's possible for you to not
even notice the bulge. When signs or
symptoms do present themselves, they may
include:
A soft bulge of tissue in your vagina that
may or may not protrude through the
vaginal opening
Constipation or difficulty having a bowel
movement
Sensation of rectal pressure or fullness
A feeling that the rectum has not
completely emptied after a bowel movement
Difficulty controlling the passage of
stool
Low back pain that's relieved when you lie
down

Sounds like constipation to me too. If
your really full (of poo) you would have
the exact symptoms you described.

If you haven't pooped, then the stool is
right behind your vaginal wall and your
rectum. You may want to try drinking some
prune juice.

I have felt the same thing before. No
worries. Once you go it will go away.

I suffer from constipation every now and
again, and the back ache can be severe.
One time i had to go to the hospital. They
prescribed Tylenol 3's.
