Underage Pregnancies...Mistake with Birth Control Pills
Posted: 11-06-07 16:12pm

I'm 17 and have been actively having sex with my 18 year old boyfriend since January...We've been lucky so far in the sense that I haven't been pregnany. Now, however, I'm really worried. I'm on birthcontrol and I recently started a new pack. The day (sunday) I was supposed to start...the pharmacy was closed and I couldn't get a hold of them...thus...I took two pills at my regular time on Monday night. Then a few days later, I made the mistake of thinking my pills were in my purse and left them at school and was caught in the same predicament. In that week we've had sex three times...two times we used a condom...and once we didn't (but we used the withdrawal)...so could i possibly be pregnant? I've been really paranoid lately..and I don't know what I would do if I were to get pregnant. Abortions in michigan are illegal without parent permission and I really don't want to tell my parents if I had to go through that....any advice?

withdrawl doesnt mean anything ond does not protect you from pregnancy

yes you could be pregnant
if you didnt want to take that chace you shouldnt have had sex when you knew you messed your pills up

take a test when you miss your period if you think your preg

Wait to see if you are pregnant before worrying about it.

No, the only way to know is to wait until you get a missed period and test, unless you go to the doctor and request a blood test, but even that wouldn't be accurate until a few days after implantation (and usually doctors won't do one unless you get a positive pregnancy test or miss your period). I know waiting sucks, but it's the only thing you can do right now other than take your pills normally and use back up contraception (something other than the withdrawal method please) until you get your period and start your new pack.

ok i understand now that i have to wait and find out...but i just recently started spotting (and i still have a week and a half until im supposed to get my period) ...i've never spotted before in my life...i googled it and i found soo many different answers i don't know what to believe. Does spotting have anything to do with implantation? my friend told me you couldn't spot and be pregnant...but i dont know if i believe her...im sooo panicked! plz ..any information you have..

Birth control pills can cause spotting. Rough sex can cause spotting. Normal mid cycle can cause spotting.

Honestly, you will need to wait. It literally could be anything.
