Liver ( hepatic) hemangioma is common
benign tumor of the liver and is made up
of small blood vessels.
Usually, these benign tumors are not
causing symptoms because they have small
dimensions (less than 1 cm in diameter).
When they appear to be large, symptoms
like pain, nausea, or enlargement of the
liver can be experienced.

Can they cause bleeding anywhere else?!
I've looked into it and it's a illness
which can be found anything in the body.
It also runs in my family too!

Reading about medical issues has helped
calm my nerves when it was my turn to be
worried. Lack of knowledge produces
stress, because we tend to assume the
worst. And you seem to have visited this
forum to boost your knowledge, didn't
you!
Best of luck to you. Let us know how your
situation goes... including that
colonoscopy.

Only, large hepatic hemangiomas (more than
5 cm in diameter) can rupture and cause
severe pain and bleeding into the abdomen
that can be an emergency.
But, that's very rare and I'm sure you
aren't under such a risk (your hemangiomas
are small ones).

Does the pain subside after bowel
movement?
Do you have some new results?
Thinking of you!

Is that pain abdominal that spreads to
lower back and other areas you have
previously mentioned or it's only a
soreness in rectal and anal area?
Do you have the feeling that you didn't
completely empty your bowels after a bowel
movement?

Ok got a question. I get a sharp pain in
my left bum cheek, a dull pain. It does
hurt sometimes after I've been to the
toilet but nothing has changed. Is this a
sign?? Or have a I pulled a muscle?!

The pain you feel during and shortly after
bowel movement, can be due to a small tear
in the skin at the opening of the rectum,
called anal fissure. It is usually caused
as a result of straining and stretching
the rectum when passing a hard stool.
Did you already get the date for
colonoscopy?

I don't think this kind of pain is a
indicator for prompt colonoscopy.
Usually, acute bleeding with severe pain
is a reason to get immediately checked
with colonoscope.
I guess, you'll need to wait for a date,
but, insure yourself that you are on a
waiting list for this procedure.
Wishing you a good, healthy day!

Are you telling that you are experiencing
anal bleeding along with your period?
The soreness you feel while wiping ,
usually, is due to hemorrhoids.
What's the frequency and form of your
bowel movements like?
Do your bowel habit alternates between
constipation and diarrhea?
Does the pain often occur in the evening?
Have you noticed ups and downs of pain and
bowel problems relating to your menstrual
cycle?

Did you have a colonoscopy?
Will you visit tummy clinic for further
tests?
Diagnosis of IBS itself is unfortunately
not very simple and it is often more a
diagnosis of exclusion.
The questions in my last post was asked
because I also suspected you may have
IBS.
Also, you have noticed some connection
with your period.
Ups and downs of abdominal symptoms for
women is very characteristic for IBS.
